Hi

How reliable is this tool?

I ask because after several trials I have noticed that various variants of models are not  in the drop down box ?  I look on the auto trader get the models for example say...2005  Volvo V70 which has several variants, petrol /diesel /auto/manual but some of those are missing in the matching tool, why is this? The vehicle was manufactured ? Sometime that particular year is missing or one of the fuel options is not there?

Also when a vehicle comes up 'Probable Match'  what does that actually mean?   I would be grateful for some clarifications as I am looking for a newer tow vehicle and because of the uncertainty I could be dismissing perfectly good options.

Many thanks

I think you're better off doing your own calculations.

Try Towcar matching website, far better. CC matching service is noted for its failings.

Have to agree that you can do it yourself fairly easily with the weights published by the car and caravan makers. I have done this with the last car and it was no problem.
