First time trying with my rocket on a CC site and its not going well.

First things first - I have set it up successfully many times with my home network, bt fon and a random unsecured network I found.  So I'm pretty happy that it works and I can configure it.

After I set the Hardware up and connect to the router I can access the configuration site fine. I go through site survey, find the CC network and rename the router. After pressing done I get a page saying saving settings which stays for ages. The router
switches off as expected but then the CC login page keeps popping up and I can't do anything else. If I log in then I'm connected to Cc wifi on the device not the solwise.

Anyone able to give me a walk through?  I'm usually pretty handy with this sort of stuff so I'm not very happy and the mood is poor in the Ess van

Hi - Did you get the solwise router to work with the caravan club wifi at all - I'd like to share the connection with others in that caravan  Thanks

I did. The problem on that occasion was a very weak site wifi signal.

It works like a charm and is easy to set up

I had a bit of trouble with my solwise/rocket but I emailed them and got step by step instructions. I do recall that sometimes it would sit for ages but it was actually connected. The instructions are in the motorhome and it's a while since I used it so not sure I can help too much but the router password only has to be set once. When you go through the site survey and select the network you want you should be prompted for the site WiFi password not your router.

I did find some problems in Switzerland and Italy but in France and elsewhere it worked OK. Can't use it now because I don't have a convenient window where I can poke the aerial lead through and have adjacent power supply.

If you still have no luck I will see if I can find my setup notes.

Hi sorry to ask again  -but were you able to share the caravan club wifi (i.e with one login to the router ) - I want my wife and myself to be able to use the wifi at the same time something we can't currently do as the CMC only allows one user to log on to the portal. Thanks for any help with this -

In theory, the router is 'the user' and then you can log in as many as you want to the router.

However, my experience has been that some site wifi setups allow this, others seem to have a way to block it (not particularly CMC, I'm talking about other sites as well).

I use this https://www.solwise.co.uk/wireless-usb-patriot-3000-kit.html which I'm assuming is similar to your rocket. I managed to succesfully use it at Pembrey CC site last week. I connected the router to the CC wifi and had 2 phones and two tablets connecting to the router. Worked like a dream.

The rocket - now updated to the patriot - allows multiple devices to be connected however the club's wifi agreement is for one device per log in.

We don't use it on club sites much as the wifi seems to have improved but it's really handy to be able to pick up btWifi or similar

    Hi,

I have the router connected to the club wifi, but for some reason I cannot get the "Login Page" for the Caravan Club Wifi to load up. Could you please offer anyhelp?

    Thanks

I have the same kit and used it at Seacroft, Cromer during the week. It is the first time I have used it on a Club site. Before using it I tried with just the standard WiFi which is supposed to be Gold Standard on this site but I often got drop outs and the signal would hang so I set up the Solwise. Without doubt it gave a far more consistent signal although overall the speed is not up to much, 1.5 mbps. I did use the router to connect to our phones as an experiment and it seemed to work fine. I suppose trying to get a decent signal inside a caravan or motorhome is always going to be more problematic so a booster cuts out that uncertainty.
