Following the forced changes to this forum a few months ago and the many complaints that followed has anyone noticed any changes. It seems to me that nothing has been changed.

Can anyone point to any improvement that has been made?

Personally not noticed anything but Snagging list 10 April page 42 last post on the page, by Rochelle. Tells of updates. There is a new thread about posting reviews so make if it what you like  😉.

On the actual forum little has changed.

Luckily for the clubs IT department the tactics of ignoring virtually all of the complaints/suggestions in 'Snagging List' have just about worked!

Most of the complainants have simply given up or gone away!

The one I like best is the silly little/unreadable pictures that members are allowed to post....and the method is explained by a detailed video and lots of wordswink

Sadly that is my feeling, I still have to fight the drop-down menu to sign-on each time I visit, which still annoys me.

They want us to all go away to Fasebuke so don't give up here or there won't be a forum at all.

Keep adding these questions to the snagging page, it's better in one place unless it's about a specific area like CLs or Rallies. There's obviously a list that's being worked through although we're not party to it, but it seems there is a long way to go yet.frown

And yes the drop down menu is very annoying and also signing in which doesn't take you back to the place you started!

    Simple answer - NO.

Will I hold my breath waiting for them - NO.

If no one is looking at the snagging list - as seems to be the case then there seems to be little point to adding to it.

They are responding when they can. Both Rowena and Rochelle have let's us know about updates.

youd think they would have a look at the list and sort out a few quick wins....for example, the navigation issues mentioned above.

its a piece of cake (relatively) to just change the destination of a 'click' and there are several of these 'bad links' that have been identified for weeks.

it would be a great bit of PR to grab half a dozen small changes and roll these out, we would see an instant difference, a real difference to the ease of navigation and the effort to acheive this (relatively) would be small.

I'm not sure that "when there can" is good enough.

One thing that has changed with the new forum, and it's not for the better, is that the thing is now so slow. It seems to be getting slower by the day. The words "watching paint dry" spring to mind .

See here for the last update details (from Rochelle.) I can't comment any more than the next person about what is happening with the web site. I've no idea about the IT situation in the club and how it has been implemented, it's certainly taking a long time to improve. wink
