Pukka piece of kit ET, I've just got one toosmile. I gave up on iPads after the frustration of having them reject everything but Apple bolt ons. The Android platform is so much more user friendly.

We're planning a visit to the National Trust property Uppark House and Garden in South Harting, Petersfield today. We're preparing a picnic lunch and flask of tea to take with us. It's clouding over a bit but then that will make it cooler for walking around the gardens. It's about 27 miles from here but it means driving through some pretty countryside. About 45 minutes drive to get there using the Smart car for fuel economy.

Tomorrow I have an interview with Dominos in the afternoon. I should also get a result from Pizza Hut.

One easy one is extra capacity(SD card) not on iPad, option is to rent space on icloud, with the galaxy tab you put in a bigger card. If you want to view video you've taken or pics on the iPad you buy a £25/30 iPad specific card reader, they reject others. The galaxy tab?, I bought a card reader from Amazon for £7 including shipping costs. I realise now after many years of Apple use that they jealously guard their revenue stream. Android accept other party bolt ons. UHD vids from my trail cam, GoPro & hand cams-'format not supported' on iPad. Galaxy tab?, plays them all.

I'm hoping to hear soon from Chipping Sodbury Caravans about our awning repairs and new poles. They said it would take about a week and it has been a week already. Hopefully, this will be a cheaper option than purchasing a new air awning. With no job offer yet, finances are going to be a little tight for a while! Even if I get a job with Pizza Hut or Dominos, I'll be on monthly pay so won't get paid until the end of the month. In the meantime, it's going to be my flexible friend, Barclaycard!

It's true that Apple do operate a very 'closed' system......but I like the protection that gives - all their Apps have to be vetted, for example.

It's really all down to personal preference....MrsH has Android phone and tablet, I have Apple for both.

(She previously had a Windows phone and was extremely disappointed in the lack of Apps available for it).

No protection needed to use an SD card reader Ian or insert an SD card-it's greed. When I first bought the first iPad it was cutting edge, a leader in the field. Android have now caught up & offer a seamless platformsmile

Bad start to the weekend,  when we heard that our new van which we should have been collecting in the next week had been delayed until mid May! cry Not happy, as I had started to empty and clean the current one. yell

Things improved when we had a great family get together, both sons and their girlfriends. Trip to MK on Saturday to help with moving and lots of cleaning surprised don't think he'd done any since he moved in ! Yuk!

Quiet day yesterday,  and then nice walk round a local park and pub lunch today. smile.

Triky : You are making me feel hungry now! laughing

Ian, no not that impressed with service, had wrongly assumed that as we hadn't heard from them that new van was going to be ready on time. We rang them last week to check and we're told they have a backlog at the factory.

    Don't overdo it TrikyP...laughing

Sorry the van is delayed Helen, we had a similar long wait for our previous caravan, worth it in the end but very frustrating.

Nice end to the day here, out in the garden, quite warm. Apple blossom time now, just hope the frosts don't get it.

Ps for info the Motor caravan fire here was possibly coarsed by leisure Batt drying out "not being topped up" overheating and catching firesurprised

Many thanks for the commiserations,  re non arrival of new van, I'am slowly getting over the disappointment.

JVB66 did you find the decorated Hare's in Broadway? There are up to 65 of them dotted around the Cotswolds.
