Truma heater
Hi just brought a bailey senator Oklahoma 2006 model a couple of weeks ago and after doing a few bits and pieces to it I found that when I tried lighting the heater on gas it would not ignite. So I took the front case of and had a good look and checked a few things like the battery in the auto ignitor. When I try lighting it all that happens is a clicking noise? It's a Truma s 3002/s.

Since the igniter is working, the most obvious thing to check is that the gas is getting through. In a quiet environment (and especially with the front cover off) you should be able to hear if it is. If it has not been used for a while, you may need to wait quite some time before the air in the system is purged and gas comes through. You could also try lighting it manually in case the spark electrode is not positioned correctly.
I have a press-button-ignition (piezo) 3002, and the control knob needs to be beyond the '1' position when held down during lighting ....not in the area between 'off' and '1' as suggested in the instructions.
If no gas is coming through, then check for an isolating valve somewhere which may have been turned off.

Some caravans have a distribution manifold with individual taps for the gas supply to each system. i.e. heater, hot water, cooker & fridge.
On mine it's in the bottom of a base unit next to the fridge, it maybe worth checking they are all turned on if you have them in yours.

I have checked and all the gas taps are on plus when I try lighting it I depress the button on 1 or above. Not sure the last time it was used on the gas?

Is the caravan level? If it's sitting on your drive and even slightly out, that could do it. We have the same heater in our Eriba and had the same problem whilst away in the Peak District last month.

is the gas supply ok, ie do other gas apliances work?
can you light the hob, can you get the fridge running on gas?
conversely, does the heater work on ehu?

Sounds like a failed thermocouple. (Flame failure device) would still allow the pilot light to burn whilst the gas valve is pressed in to open the pilot port. But as soon as the gas valve was released the port would close and shut off the gas feed to the pilot.
Only a few quid to replace and any competent registered fitter would do it in minutes.
You have left the required 2/3 minute intervals before trying again?
