To be fair a different situation. I had a similar thing happen 20 years ago. There was a motorhome leaving a site at 1.30pm. Latest departure 12. We both stopped and got out. He said straight away that he could not reverse as he was towing a car.
The solution was simple. Unhitch the car and let his wife reverse the 200 yards to the site followed by the motorhome. Afterwards go solo with wife ahead and she could warn approaching outfits to wait a few mins..

Have you ever considered the saying nothing at all instead of dropping hints that Ieave people thinking you have a vivid imagination but no information of substance? It could improve your credibility.

Too many rules and jobs worth's nowadays. and others who want to impose their way on others. There are times when rules need to be applied and adhered to but sadly common sense and the ability to apply it without authority from above seems to be lacking most of the time.
I had a situation a few years back where we told a jobs worth she had just lost her company our repeat business after 10 years because of her interpretation of "The Rules"

I find it very funny that as soon as "Rules" are mentioned it brings out the worsed in the members on this forum.
Can you imagine the comments on here if the Club were to spend vast amounts of money on number plate recognition!

I find it more shocking the fact the jobsworths & Butlitz lovers are always out in force, oh yes & the many folk who believe they actually own the C&MC & it should do their bidding. Nowt a queer as folk

I don't know the specific circumstances here, but there are times when an employee would be aware that not enforcing certain rules would lose the company many more customers.
So maybe she judged that upsetting one customer (who wouldn't follow the rules) was worth it, in this instance?

Just a thought .....I am happy that the wardens clean the toilet blocks late morning ready for the new arrivals. Following that task I expect they also have to fit lunch in at some point. I also understand that there are lots of sites or some days days at least, where one couple only are on duty. As a result, I think no arrivals before 12 suits those circumstances much of the time. How many workers, or perhaps even members on here, are happy to regularly forego a lunch break in order to give good customer service for no extra reward ?

I said 'if there was room' ....... I don't see any reason to keep people waiting to enter a half full/empty site. If it's full, then you'd have to wait.
And people are allowed to stop after 12 with permission ..... though you never want to accept it

From what I can see the 12.00 rule only serves one purpose which is pitch availability. If someone gets to a site too early they take pot luck whats available or wait and move to a better pitch when it is free. All being done at the wardens discretion of course. Or, as a compromise, if you arrive too early and get pitched up then that's where stay until you leave.
The flow of traffic issue is a pointless argument. as many of us have probably experienced. You drive down the narrow lane to the site entrance (maybe with other traffic behind you) and you meet a Motorhome coming the other way. Their not leaving the site late they are mid stay and just off to do a bit of sightseeing after a lazy morning and having had lunch before going out. Nobody is at fault, just going about enjoying their hobby like the rest of us.

As stated earlier in the thread, why join a club if you ain't going to follow the rules.
Some rules may not suit your personal circumstances, but they are presumably their for the benefit of all.
Can't say that I see a problem with any of the rules. They seem to make sense, without them, I would expect there would be many many more complainants.
