Dog walking in Suffolk
Can anyone help? We have a week booked in the Woodbridge area of Suffolk. However, we have just got back from a weekend in St Neots where we realised that 'walks' were in short supply and don't want to make the same mistake for a week. We have two Springers and a Border who are exercised off the lead (responsibly) the majority of the time and where a 30 minute walk is a walk before breakfast! To make our holidays a holiday we enjoy a couple of hours walking from the site. Do I need to rethink our venue?? I have tried to find out as much as I can via the internet but I have a feeling I have made a mistake.....

GreyBeardnGrouch,
Hopefully I am in a reasonable position to answer this one... I'm relatively local to Woodbridge (Ipswich) and would be confident in saying that you won't be disappointed for walks.
I'm not sure exactly where you are staying which will have some bearing, however, if your anywhere between Woodbridge itself and the coast you'll be fine. There are numerous walks in the Woodbridge/ Rendlesham forest area. Details of these are available on the forestry commissions website.
Beyond this, there is an abundance of costal paths stretching from the river at Woodbridge right out to Bawdsey and the peninsula.
Although I cant give exact details I can at least say that you shouldn't be disappointed.
Hope this helps!

Thank you!
It's an area where neither of us have ever been to and we would hate to miss out - its a case of putting our pooches first....so that we are all happy.....I can stop worrying now and i'll certainly be looking at the Forestry Commission website.
