Alde heating display temperature v Swift panel
out in new van, using Alde heating for first time. It seems odd to me that the Alde control panel is showing an interior temperature of 31 (never!) and the Swift Command panel next to it is showing 17.1 degrees, which seems more likely. How can this difference exist?
as the max one can set Alde to is 30 degrees, isn't the Alde displayed temp of 31 effectively stopping heating coming on?
any advice most welcome.

In the settings menu there is a button showing a thermometer with red liquid. This is the 'temperature offset' menu which allows you to recalibrate the temperature displayed.
I found it in the 'Operating Instructions' manual which I downloaded from the Alde Site

Thanks both. I have recalibrated the ambient temp as suggested by Simon, but as Micky says, one can only do so by +\- 5 degrees.
In fact, this morning, the Swift ambient temp reads 2 degrees less (at 10.5 with heating off overnight) than the Alde (which is the other way round from last night, and the gap between the two was 14 degrees then)
heating is now on and working, and the displayed ambient temp is rising. But I don't feel I've really got to the bottom of this issue of displayed ambient temp difference, so any further comment most welcome.

When l had a problem on site with my Alde programmer l rang Alde, a guy their l think his name was Neil talk me through the problem, all fixed in 15minutes fantastic service. When l rang the dealer they couldn't solve the problem they were the ones that advised me to contact Alde, the number is in the manual

Just wonder if the positioning of the sensors may have a little to do with it? I know with ours that the variation between them can be 'wildly' out initially until the van fabric warms up and air is circulating around. Once all is settled down try calibrating them together again.

This has been my only criticism of the Alde heating system. It takes ages for the indicated temperature to drop leaving the van getting cold while it settles. I find it best however to let things stabilise and avoid the temptation to chase the temperatures up and down on the settings.
I have tried running mine with the panel back light OFF, my theory was that the heat from the light and its drive circuits could be affecting the thermostat sensor in the panel. I think this helps.
An additional sensor, Alde part 3010-346 is available as a plug in extra, it looks quite neat but needs to be fitted into a hole in a panel, 2m cable so this could be mounted away from the control panel or other heat sources.
