Finally took the plunge ...
Well, after five years of owning a motorhome (Swift Kon Tiki) we thought we'd signup to the CAMC! Looking forward to visiting some of the many CL's and trying out the Club sites, no idea which ones yet as we aren't great at advance planning, prefer to be spontaneous. We're fortunate to be retired and keep the motorhome mostly ready stocked, prepared and good to go at short notice.

Ha, I thought the 'plunge' might have been buying the Kontiki, not joining the CC....hardly in the same league, lol
still, enjoy all your tpuring, theres some great spots out there, and if ypu like the CL type of site, have a look at C&CC and their temporary holiday site (THS) programme.....no booking, stay as long as you like, pay on departure, sites average £8/9 a night, generally no facilities, but you've a lovely van to shpwer in...
good luck.

To all those who figured that it was the change of name which prompted the decision to join: you're correct! We were always aware that we could join the CC but felt that the rebranding made us specifically welcome.
We're also members of the C&CC, love their informal THS's (great in high season) and their old folks' discount in low & mid season. However, we're impressed with the sheer number of CAMC club & CL sites, as well as the 'last minute availability' information online.

Welcome to the club. Like you, I prefer to be spontaneous and dislike booking more that a few days ahead.
I've been a motorhomer and club member for 33 years. CAMC just doesn't trip off the tongue. It will always be the 'Caravan Club' to me!
I still refer to the club magazine as 'En Route'.
