Yep, staying in the hotel is a must. I was involved in an internet social forum and we had many meets over 8 years. No longer a member there but many are on a new forum that I helped to set up.
When we had a meet in Chester (8 miles away) there were a dozen staying in Premier in at Chester. It was expensive because it was Chester races weekend. We took our cases and jumped on the bus. No fun not staying at the same place!

Aye but that takes me back. Must be 1972, I had a Viva HB estate with a larger engine, can't remember the details but had to use a flat web sling to lower it in, rally seats. I had an 8 Track stereo and one of the cassettes was Jesus Christ Superstar!

Hope you enjoy Stamford Pauline, we would like to go back to the "Top Notch" area. Good luck with the house move. I am still trying to clear our house of accumulated possessions, previous house moves don't seem to have solved the problem! Hope all goes well for you.
The Brues thoroughly enjoyed seeing JCSS last night. Can't believe we missed it from 1970....

Nice to hear from you, you've obviously been very busy! Have a great break.
Are you moving far, do you have a date, are you downsizing? Nosey ain't I? We moved about for several years about once a year or two, been in this house 32 years. Easy to shift then kept things minimal - but now we have lots of possessions, a lot not essential and we attempt a cull from time to time but not effectively 😂.

Well hopefully it will be looked at as I've reported it. I expect if we ever hear it will be along the lines "we'll look into it fix shortly etc" more than likely be closed completely..... still some threads works and some of us are persistent lol. I will not be beaten by a machine ROFL. No I'll go and sob in the corner 😉

Rochelle has posted on it. Now 31 posts. Apparently known fault she'll get an estimate if fix time and advise. Apparentky both have same url not thought to be user fault. Went to comment but got 0 replies and fed up!
Enjoy your day folks.

Yesterday evening, we did some shopping at the Tesco Extra near the club site.
We finished work on time at 7 p.m. as there were no more orders. Today is due to be a 7 p.m. finish too.
We got up at 8 a.m. this morning. Well I did get up at 4 a.m. at first and had some orange juice, peanut butter on toast and a cup of tea after which I went back to bed.
We've got fair weather here today. The sun is out at the moment but there is also plenty of light cloud.
We have one hour 45 minutes of the morning left before we are due to start work.

Just had good news about our old dog who became ill on holiday and the vets were our first port of call when we came home. We think we can clear up the problem with antibiotics and the tests for kidney failure etc have come back ok. He's a funny old rescued pet but has been a good family dog. So a bit less in the bank balance but relief for us too.

Brue good news for your dog. Great relief. No pockets in a shroud 😉.
Glorious here birds singing frog spawn, at last in our garden pond 😃 seen 4 frogs and 3 crested newts, one of those upon last year. Spring glorious spring. Even the routine chores seem lesson and effort 😆

Dull day again. All busy here, the workmen have turned up and are getting on with the new front and side path looking good so far. OH keeps checking out the window to see what's going on, he wants to get on with stuff but doesn't want to go out and work in his shed as its cold and he doesn't want them to think he's watching them (he is)
I've been busy in the kitchen making 2 pots of soup. also been online trying to find some sandals for Mum, big sis got some from M&S like the ones Mum currently has (but falling to pieces) however even though we have gone up a size and they are wide fit they are to tight for Mum across the top of her arch. So we need to fine something else, she doesn't like slingbacks so they have to have a heel cup they need to have a small flatish heel and preferably an open type toe. Mum tends to wear them in the 'home' rather than slippers which I'm pleased about as I think they are better for her, she puts slippers on in the evening once they have all got ready for bed. I've found quite a few online so need to work with big sis as to what we order.

TG, not sure if you might have come across them before, but take a look at Pavers shoes. They have online shop, and I use them regular for both Mum and Dad. Lots of styles and width fittings, might just find something. Fast delivery, and good returns service if required. You might find a local Pavers store in your area as well if you do an online search. Hope this helps

Thanks TTDA, yes I am familiar with Pavers, I got her winter shoes there and she is very happy with them. I've looked at them on line as our store isn't a big one, there are one or two that might do the job. I've also found a few other online stores that have something like Mum likes but quite expensive. Trouble with all this looking for Mum I've now seen loads of shoes that I like, I'm a bit of an Imelda Marcos when it comes to shoes, this could get very costly

TG we've just had a similar experience with my Mum, it's been very difficult to persuade her to let go of favourite old shoes that are falling apart. We still haven't found quite what she wants or will fit well. My sister took her out in the wheelchair to a shopping centre and ended up with a pair she wont wear.....back to the drawing board. We also had a leather mule saga because she has a favourite pair that she wears instead of slippers and I never thought I'd find any she'd like or find comfortable. In the end I trawled through Amazon and found a pair she liked and could return easily if they didn't fit etc. I will look at TDA's suggestion as we still haven't solved the shoe problem! Not easy is it?!

It's probably because new shoes tend to feel uncomfortable until they're worn in. It's necessary to persevere with the discomfort for a little while because eventually they lose their stiffness. As long as they are the correct size, they should eventually become as comfortable as the old shoes.

It's been quite a warm afternoon. We had tea outside on our picnic table plus melted cheese and onion on toast using our electric grill.
