Hi,  On our Coastline 480 we have a walk in shower and we are looking at changing the shower to a single cubical thus utalising spare space for a larger wardrobe as the current on is very small.

Does anyone recommend a company that could take out our shower unit and fit a new one?

Cheers

Can't help but I wonder about weight issues if storing additional clothes etc.

I've never understood why people buy this caravans and then make modifications?  Why not buy the right layout in the first place?

Plastic Shower Specialists of Hull would be the people for this. I am considering using them to line out my unlined shower. They seem to be very well recommended on other forums.

I emailed my enquiry then sent photos of the area. They had a quote back within a couple of days. Not cheap mind, but if it's a quality job then worth it. They come to you to do the work.

    Hope this helps.

    Gill

Ah yes an  interesting point 4 years ago it met the needs funny. I should have never sold the morris 1000 or the 2 bedroom flat when I could have squeezed a family of 5 in in them. Thanks for the good advice from the helpful members. Greatly appreciated.

My advice on caravan mods is to only make modifications that can be easily reverted to the original spec as, otherwise, it can very difficult to sell or p/x the van.

If the allowed loading, balance and construction of the van is not known, it is virtually impossible to predict the possible success or failure of structural modifications.

The ideal solution would be to change the van for another but, if this is not possible, why not find an alternative way of carrying extra clothes? Perhaps a waterproof clothes bag or case that can live in the shower tray and be lifted out when the shower is used?

Personally, I would try every alternative before considering the mod you suggest, Karles. Good luck in your quest.
