Gas fitting for BP Calor Lite to new caravan

hi, I have swapped over the existing BP Calor Lite bottle from our old caravan to our brand new Swift, which has a regulator fitted to the bulkhead. The old caravan did not, and the regulator was fitted on top of the bottle. As a result, the pigtail connection hose (new supplied with new caravan) does not fit on to the top of the bottle.

any advice about any adaptor available to connect, please? Or is my botttle outdated? We don't use gas much, so it has lasted for ages. One dealer has suggested I ditch the BP bottle and swap to a Calor Lite; do I need to do that? Is it sensible to do that?

thanks

Sorry, should have identify existing bottle as BP Gas Light, not BP Calor Lite.

Not sure if you mean BP Gaslight or now known as Flogas, if you do then you need a Butane type hose and a 27mm clipon pigtail adaptor as in the picture. The hose thread will fit your bulkhead regulator. No need to swap to Calor, it's only about £19 for both.

    You can get both <HERE>

    I swapped to a 10kg Gaslight from a 6kg steel red.

Next consideration is that both Calor and Flogas charge more for the actual gas when you want a refill if it comes in a Lite/light bottle!   (How they get away with that is anyone's guess).
