ATS EUROMASTER free fuel offer

Just received April issue of Club magazine......Page 13 with free fuel offer from if, during 1/3/17 till 30/4/17, if you buy Michelin tyres you can earn up to £75 free fuel....On looking into this the £75 is only if you order 4 Michelin tyres but only if 19" diameter. minimum...My Mondeo with 16" diameter if bought 4 would get £25, and if bought 2 it would be £10....so the advert looks fantastic but then it ends up not as good as made to think....I don't think many 19" compared to 16" out there ..I stand to be corrected but according to my sums website also reckons Michelin roughly sell at £122 including fitting....I can buy brand new Michelin Eco 215/60/R16/95V delivered to my house for £77.82 each and get them fitted, valves, balanced and VAT for £10 each which equals £87.82 at my local garage, so deduct £10 from price £122 is £112....I will not be attracted by the free fuel offer.

    There's no such thing as a free lunch ...... wink

    16" rims are comparatively small these days ....... on a previous car I replaced the original 16s with 17s, the 17s were cheaper as they were a more popular size. smile

    MollysMummy, the fact that ATS website also shows Michelin tyres at £122 and say deduct £10 average charge for tyre fitting garages to fit, so £112....these tyres can be available for £77.82 plus a garage to fit £10, so ATS are much dearer to get as a supply source so what is their markup, so they are hardly out of pocket to launch an offer but to exclude so many rim sizes in the £75
