Maybe we could start a "Swapsie Club". Who wants Wirral CP? Can't send it to JVB as I don't need Sandringham, so we might need to get negotiations going. Who knows, we make a success of this and we may be called on to handle Brexit (oops, sorry).

It would be interesting to need the breakdown of the ABC figure of 352,046 into geographical regions and how this would then be applied to local as rates. It would also give some indication of the on cost of changing print runs and additional cost for several editorial contributions.

Pages 80 -81 in my mag are on Sandringham which is strange as I live in West London not East Anglia. Mind you it is of more interest to me then say one on Windsor Castle which is a short hop from home. In fact it would take longer to get the caravan out from the back garden and hitched up lock the gates and the house then it would be to drive there
I want articles about other parts of the Uk. As the saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it.

I suspect David that unless you spend all your time abroad you have a reasonable idea what is to be seen within 30 miles of home. Certainly from what I see of the offerings given by the club there are very many more less well known things of interest and the items picked up by the club regarding Wirral do not scratch the surface as they are probably the first things on a google search. I doubt that there are any of my friends in Flint, Rhyl, Chester, Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Queensferry that are not aware of them. (Having checked they are in fact amongst the first hits).

I wonder how they decide what regional variation you fall in. Ours featured Wirral Country Park which is 117 miles away, with the Pennine chain in the way. Sandringham on the other hand is only 85 miles away and a fairly quick run. I don't really mind what we get to be honest, I always find them a bit bland and lacking in any real information.

I am not too bothered what areas are featured, but I do think we should all be given the same featured areas.
So, every so often we up here will see an area we are already familiar with, rather than seeing it every month and feeling that we may well be missing out on something of interest that we know nothing about.
I also agree that the features are not that "in depth" and generally only give info on the most obvious attractions/places of interest.

Can't say we have ever used any aspect of the Club Mag to choose a destination for a holiday, and we have long been very capable of discovering what is in an area by the simple use of a map, some superb publications such as Hudson's guide, lots of old AA guides (pennies from second hand book shops) and I collect Warde Lock red guide books. Oh, and now the internet. If we are on a day out somewhere we often "do" three or four places of interest in a day!
Having said that, the mag needs an overhaul every so often just to keep it vaguely interesting. The events listings are useful.

Just dug ours out the the recycle bin as it took all of ten minutes to browse through, been this way since we have has the new improved magazine. We have got Burford in ours, 40 minutes from home, hence did not bother to read it as we have lived in the Cotswolds for the past 31 years! Well done Club your market research team has stuck gold again, looking forward to a report on Longleat next.

We need to pair up with other members living in areas we want to read about. Then as soon as our mag arrives we just redirect it to the other person.
The only problem with it is that I want to read about all parts of the UK. Even if the articles are lacking in depth or accuracy they may just inspire me to look at that part of the country.
Hang on - I used one of the buzzwords. Inspire. Something the club wants to do yet offers us regional versions of a magazine.
I'd be much happier with a broader version of the events section. Fewer county shows and more sausage and cider festivals

I've just had a look at our regional pages for the North East which includes the city of Durham and the Beamish Open Air Museum... Presumably those responsible for the magazine assume that these regional gems are unknown to us.. Hahahahahahaha
Been there, done that, several times, as have our grand-daughters on school trips.... Naturally some other parts of the country we are not as familiar with..... Now there's an idea for someone to pick up.

With that in mind, we are now producing content and advertising with the Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine that's tailored to the region in which you live. If you are located in the South-East of England, for example, there may be differences between your copy and the issue received by readers in Scotland - although these will be fairly subtle at first. Printed copies of the magazine for other regions are available through the Club Shop. We are presently only able to provide one version of the magazine within the app - watch this space for updates.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine has the 22nd widest circulation of all UL magazines, according to 2016 figures released by independent auditors ABC, which combine print and online readership figures.'
I really but I loved the bit at the bottom in bold
. You can make your own mind up - I don't dispute the quote.So if you want to learn about touring the UK you'll need to pay for another copy of the magazine, possibly with P&P added. Not so if you fancy a further afield trip. It looks like it may get more regional. You couldn't make it up or could you?
Bottom of the page adds the response given on here regarding the closure of Mildenhall - we learn nothing more.
