Check what's on page 80 and 81. I bet that's where the regional stuff is.

I have Wirral CP in mine. An area that I know somewhat better than the writer of the article.

We have Sandringham  on those pages in ours, and the write up on that is not correct in places, most of us from this region will aready know what is their anyway,

I would like to go to the Wirral from here, but then maybe the ethos of the "new club"is to discourage touring and adventure  despite the Feb21st "mission statements"

An area That my social group know better than me ........ but I appear to know better than the writer. I often wonder if the club uses knowledgeable locals and if not then why not.

Have not yet had time to read the piece on Balbirnie.  We have stayed there in the past, to visit some friends on our way to Aberdeen, plus we used to stay in Fife, so will need to read it carefully!

Ah yes found the same. I wonder if it will appear here. Did you have a feature on page 81/82 about Chester and Wirral?

Well we should swop copies as I have been to West Kirby, Thurstaston Country Park and Chester in the last month. Admittedly it is two years since I was last at the Lady Lever art gallery and strolled around Port Sunlight and 9 months since I was in the Maritime Museum in Liverpool.

I'm just relieved that the club prescribed adventures seem so familiar wink

Worryingly the club state in the membership section that this is just the start regarding regional additions to the magazine and also adverts. Since the editorial control is often lacking with picture errors etc this seems like a retrograde idea and also condescending  that we might not know our own areas!?

You could not make it up K. You have Balbirnie, somebody near Sandringham has Sandringham, I have places within 8 to 20 miles.

Maybe the Mag Editor should go back to college. I no longer weekend but, when I did, 50 to 70 miles was possible for a long weekend. On a proper family holiday I would rarely have stayed less than 100 miles away and often toured up to 400 miles and stuff on the doorstep I really did not need to be told about

Yes I see a long summer ahead with multiple trips to Cheddar Gorge and Longleat, I wonder what the more personal adverts will bring? Thanks to OH it will probably be fishing tackle! laughing

I'm looking forward to the adverts. I'm underwhelmed by funeral plans, plastic fences and tragic clothing. I'm sure my magazine will be full of achingly cool shoes and I can't wait
