For the last 35 years I have collected and proudly displayed the CARAVAN CLUB site plaques, so far 58 of them.(yes I know it's a bit sad, but I do). With the name change I presume the style will change. Please don't tell me the base colour will be white! It will look totally out of place in my caravan. Bet the price goes up as well.

Plaques are so well-established and popular with grass-roots members that they must surely have been considered as part of the re-branding.

My personal preference would be to have a similar size and shape so that the new version is not totally out of place in our collections, but produce them with magnetic backs so that they can double-up as fridge-magnets.
Magnetic versions would be no thicker than the existing plaques, so they could still be glued to display boards if that is your preference.

I was thinking of having some made for our CL but it would be sensible to wait until the new design is announced.

Are they on the same time zone as the rest of us? 😂

Maybe it's another thing that hasn't been thought through 😉

Same time zone? Don't you mean 'same planet'?

Can just imagine the conversation, "What's a site Plaque?"

We are currently at Blackshaw Moor.  New to caravanning so only have a few plaques thus far, tried to buy one here but were told they have the old green ones but aren't allowed to sell us one of those now and they have none of the new ones in a yet.  Really messing with my OCD!

Have you been offered one to be posted to you free of charge? Surely they should be ready for the change over.  Not sure if that would help your OCD 😉

I think that is really daft, if they couldn't sell you one they should have just given it to you free after all it sounds as though they will just be thrown away.

May be they could not trust the makers wiTh "secrecy", hence the delay in production.. Seems to have been the stock answer to this fiasco. More likely they ran out of tea whilst the think tank was in session. Still making the sale/give away of the old ones a new low in the HO thinking.

They could probably charge more for them now, as they have a rarity value. 😬

Its hard to believe you couldn't have one of the old plaques, the Club should be commenting on this!

We thought the same Peedee, my husband jovially said  "oh go on sell us one of the green ones, you are bound to be chucking them anyway, we won't tell"!  Warden politely refused.  I guess rules are rules!  I don't like waste and wonder what will happen to all those little green discs.  I say keep selling them until they have run out.

When there was a query whether all the existing cc stock was being "binned" after this fiasco started ,a statement from HO via Rochelle stated that all existing stocks would be used before "new" was going to be used,so another "not thought out" cost for the members

I know we are being lighthearted about the plaques, but I guess we are not alone in wondering about the necessity of this rebranding and the potential costs down the line to members as a result of it?  Only started caravanning last summer and have loved all the sites we have stayed out, got some great advice and help from members on the forum and have all in all found the CC to be excellent value for money.  However, I can't help but be dismayed at the rebranding and the reason for it?  Was it broken, did it require fixing?

NO & NO,yell,as the "younger families" that it is supposed to be aimed at will not Fill sites off peak ,and most sites, at times they will use them are mostly near capacity, and getting fewer

So, has any lucky member managed to obtain a "new style" plaque?

Anyone know when all sites will be supplied?

Thanks. Not too sure about the white, but no doubt will learn to live with it. I'm impressed the price is the same though. Should be collecting number 59 and 60 in May.

Thank you again and happy vanning!
