I'm not new to The Caravan Club but I have never arrived "late" at a site but this year could be the exception ! I will arrive on site before 8pm but probably after the office has closed. What is the procedure for when this happens ?

I would suggest to ask the warden Tom. It must be 25 years since I was in that position

Normally there will be a method of contacting the duty warden, and as long as it is before 2000hrs you should be allowed on site, and call at the office the following morning to pay for your stay, some wardens will ask you for your membership card when you first arrive, and you get it back in the morning

Anyone useing Ferry Meadows i understand now there is no late night arrival area available as there is an add security barrier, before the LNA,and during the day if this barrier is down you need to use the call button to gain access to the arrivals area

TJ, if it's before 8pm and the office is closed, you find the duty warden unless there is a notice in the office window giving you other instructions.

There's no should about it. If you arrive before 8 you will be allowed on site smile

We usually arrive between 7 and 8. Occasionally there's someone in the office but if not there'll be a note on the door with instructions.

We always indicate an arrival time between 6-8pm when we book a site, and often arrive with only a few minutes to spare (we like to make the most of a day out). As JayEss indicates, there won't be a problem, just contact Duty Warden, who will tell you where to go, any details for site, you may hand your membership card in overnight, then pay in morning. On small quiet sites, it may just be a message on the door, telling you details you need. We have never had problems. If you are likely to be delayed after 8pm, do ring the office before closure though!laughing
