Price increases?

I've just been looking at booking the Pembrey site for me and my family at the end of the month, only to see the Club wants to charge £70.60 for 2 nights! Is this right? We are 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant with an awning.

Last year we payed £48 for 2 nights at Brecon, and the year before we went to Pembrey and paid £42 for 2 nights.

Has there been a major price increase?

If so then I would never of renewed my membership. I love the sites but for my family this is far above what we would call reasonable, especially as it at the end of march.

Yours sincerely, Graham & family.

Wow really? If that is the case check out CL's in the area. You might find it was worth renewing for these. Not sure we could afford that these days and certainly not when the children were young (not that easy had our motorhome then).

The school Easter holidays start at the end of the month, this will mean price increases unfortunately.

Agree with Bakers2 check out CL'S in the area.

I seem to recall last year the club were slightly out of sync with school holidays so some sites charged less for a few days than the usual Easter price rise. Are the prices any better at Freshwater East or are they similar? Sorry to hear of your disappointment.

If you mean then the 31st then yes its peak. The week before it much cheaper though at approx £50, are you comparing like peak dates with peak dates? This site charges full children' price, you could look for some sites where it's kids for a pound? here

Also have you looked into the charge for 'infants'.

Going to have a look at our diary and try some other dates. Freshwater East (Pembroke) is coming in at 59 and Aberbran (Brecon) coming in at 28!

CL's are great, but we looking to stay on site, a good play ground for the kids and not too far from home (Swansea).

I'm just a bit shocked at that price, I've never paid anywhere near that.

Time to consult the CMC bible!

Hope you find somewhere to suit. Maybe a CL will have a play area nearby? Google map will be your friend.

There you go, a week earlier comes in at £47.

Easter is not until the 14-16th, so maybe they are out of sync with their booking system!

Definitely down to the 'High season hike' for the school holidays which we have also been caught out on in late June when visiting the Wirral for family celebrations. Either side of your dates comes in at £47.80 and £53.00 for Pembrey, so your £70.60 really highlights the massive increases for the families that CAMC are trying to attract😡

Some areas like ours the schools always have the first 2 weeks in april for Easter, doesn't matter when easter actually falls. The club just realised they could extend the Peak period

to be fair to the club this is one of the few expensive sites with more attractions (the park and beach) than normal. There are other club sites round it much cheaper.

All booked now, decided to go a week earlier and save 20.

Just nice to get away for a weekend and have some fresh air, we love the facilities you get with the CMC sites, especially the safe play parks they have for the kids. :-)

Although Easter is not till the 14th the school holidays are now fixed so although it may not actually be Easter the schools are on holidays at that time.
