Give us some clues then. Beach, mountains, CL, all singing all dancing, naturist, dog friendly, kids amusements.......

What do you consider to be southern? Yorkshire is southern to the Scots.smile

Yorkshire is southern to the Scots.

TW - Yorkshire is southern to those living in Northumberland!smile

But, I have to admit that we are often asked for advice but not really helped with a bit more specifics relating to the Poster. It would help.

How about East Fleet Farm in Weymouth? If the kids get bored then you can take them to Brownsea Island from Poole or look for fossils along the Jurassic Coast etc. Also near a beach resort. Others who are more used to kids and the south coast can maybe advise better.

Wood Farm AS near Charmouth is very nice but quite pricey. It has a cafe, swimming pool and games room on site. The facilities are good and they have a small site shop. The pitches near the entrance can suffer from traffic noise and are also at the furthest point from the pool and cafe at the bottom of the site.

Lyme Regis is nearby as is Charmouth with it's good beach but you'll need the car to get there. It's not far to the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth and that provides a great day out. There are no charges but donations are very welcome. They have a cafe and gift shop and loads of things to interest children and adults.

    Hope that helps.

Would the children like a site with farm animals? This is quite a good family site with reasonable prices, the sea front is a few minutes away, pebbles and sand.  There is the new Seaton Jurassic Centre to visit.

    see here

    also the Jurassic Centre

Rather difficult for others to give a definitive response, as all your likes and needs aren't known, but somewhere like Penmarlam Caravan Site at Bodinnick/Fowey might suit. Nice site, lots of NT walks, river close by for activities, gorgeous town in Fowey close by, walks to stunning beaches, friendly pubs, lots of places of interest such as castles, big houses, Heligan, Eden Centre.

Depends what you like, if you motor off site, ages of children, what you want to do?

With 4 children you might want to try the CC Hillhead site. Plenty of things for kids to do on site, large playground, swimming  and paddling pool, play field and kids entertainment in early evening. Good beaches and plenty to do in local area. Does get busy in school hols so would need to book soon.
