Applies to both Clubs I understand. Unfortunately our local Go Outdoors suffered a fire and as a result had had to be rebuilt. Due to open soon I hope.

Same as at Cotswold Outdoors (both clubs, same discount)

Saved quite a bit recently on some new sleeping bags.

Is it in addition to the 'GO membership card' reduced price?

I have just phoned Go Outdoors because I have one of their discount cards, the cost is £5 for a year. I was told that I can use both the discount card AND our club card so should get two discounts. Must try that next time I go in. Some of the reductions using their discount card can be more than 10% depending on the item, and our card on top would bring the price down even more. I usually get my propane from them.

Have known about this for some time so always make sure we have a membership card on us. There is one exception which is "WOW" deals as these are special offers and already discounted.

Are you sure? They did a 1 use only deal last year but can't see anything on their web site.

We often use the Mountain Warehouse discount, it's 15% and we use it at a local factory outlet, Clarks Village.

here's a link to all the Club discounts

I've used my CCC card for discount at Mountain Warehouse for years.... Last time was about 2 weeks ago. I would say it was ongoing.

Followed link, thinking it was something I was unaware of, but takes me to members offer page and no mention of Go Outdoors, Mountain Warehouse etc.

    Where are these offers detailed?

I tend to ask in a lot of places now - specially outdoor shops and camping shops - I do get a No occasionally but if you don't ask you don't get smile

It's a funny old world on here. You put a link on to help people, it only requires the press of a button and a cursor/scroll down. wink

Yes it is a funny old world and not helped by people who cannot give an answer to a genuine question-which it was.

I followed the link, as I said, and it takes me to a page of members offers that starts at ATS and ends at Young Drivers. I looked at the whole page.

The only thing with Go in the title is GoApe-I know the feeling.

P.S.-I am using an iPad and not sure if this may be an issue?

P.P.S.-I am aware that many posters receive comments that links posted do not work and I alaways paste the web address into a post to be sure it can be seen.

There was something 'outdoors' as well. Not 'Go Outdoors' however.

I put the link to the whole list because someone also asked about Mountain Warehouse so I thought this would be helpful. The list is alphabetical.

For anyone who is unsure the list can be found in Membership, then Member Offers at the top of this page.

    I see what you mean.

You'll have to ask the club about it. wink But producing a club card obviously results in a discount, a bit like our local dealership shop which does the same.

Agree with the earlier post about don't ask don't get.

At Baltic Wharf the other week we used the ferry to the centre and asked about any discount as we were staying at the CC / camc / wotever site, thinking we would have to produce the receipt as in other places like Blenheim and Chatsworth; just needed to show a valid membership card.

Could be useful if visiting Brizzle sans caravan in the future tongue-out

Hi Brue, will try to remember that if spending but usually avoid showing my club membership for fear of ridicule.

    Smiley Smiley!

Re asking the club, I did this after a post I made could not be accessed and sent an email with details, as instructed over web chat, to the club and waited two days to be told it was being forwarded to the Community Manager.

When I queried why I was not told to to that in the first place it was suggested that I re-post the thread so,as you say, I see what you mean but may not bother!

We don't have a go outdoors near us so don't have there card. When away recently we did go into one of the shops, however they would not give us a discount when we showed them our CC card, nor any of the other cards that usually work in other shops. There was no mention of you have to have a go outdoors card to get the discount though, just a 'no we don't offer discounts' frown would be good if the club could sort this out, as I would print the offer and carry it with me in future.

Its fairly important to have one of their cards if you are going to buy at Go Outdoors for no other reason than without the card everything is so overpriced!!! Generally I have found that their card brings it down to a bit lower or the same as prices elsewhere. I resisted getting one of their cards for a long time as I didn't like the system but as other outlets closed down near to us it almost became a fait accompli as I was running out of suitable outlets without travelling 20 or more miles!!!

Cotswold Outdoor, Mountain Warehouse & a company named Keela [outdoor clothing] are on the member’s offers page no mention of Go Outdoors where I understand you "buy" their discount card from them which lasts 1 year.  Don’t know the cost of the yearly card or the amount of discount it entitles you to throughout the year.

Anyone in the Coventry/ N Warwickshire/ Midlands area who visit Jacksons of Arley,  don't forget to take your Caravan And Motorhome Club (CC) card with you - it's a 5% discount.  They don't advertise it and you have to ask at the till, but every little helps.. as they say.

Lots of outdoor suppliers will give you a discount if you show your CC card, a N/T card or the like, eg Paramor shop in Keswick, they just don't advertise the fact. We've had 15% discount every time we've bought anything at Mountain Warehouse, all over the country.
