Just a couple of things.
Just a couple of things –
First - we left a Club site this morning – no water all day on site due to some work being done (no idea what was being done as I didn't know about the water situation until five minutes before we left when I tried to empty my cassette and grey waste water).
So, no fresh water and toilets without water presumably – could be a bit messy later in the day.
And the bin areas had been 'taped off' with red and white plastic so no getting rid of your rubbish either.
Still the same price charged for the facilities – nice.
Second - the 'New' Logo.
Put the sticker on the inside of the windscreen alongside the 'Old' logo sticker.
'Bland' and 'Could do much better' comes to mind.
Still, it's our money being wasted – so no change there.

That's an amazing video on your profile - did he do the CC course?
You didn't name and shame the site - not good to be without water - it happened to me in early January but I suspect they turned off the Service Point due to frost - and I should have known about it - but then again perhaps not....

My word, the wardens there should have let you know of a possible disruption they may not have been aware of, and then what, offered a discount for lack of facilities maybe beyond their control?
What was their response after enquiring of all that disruption?

When I found out there was no water it was about five minutes before we left the site after our few days there.
The period 10.30 to 12 noon is toilet cleaning time, the office is shut, and unfortunately the Wardens are not to be found, presumably they are in the toilets doing their duties, and are unobtainable.
I have no complaints about the site itself and it seems churlish to complain when I was not personally inconvenienced by the lack of a water supply or waste disposal.
Probably there was a very good reason for the water supply disruption but until I saw a hand written note stuck to the toilet block wall there was no apparent effort to inform the fee paying visitors to the site.
Perhaps one of the affected Members may shed more light on the situation when they come back from the pub after having a drink and taking advantage of the Landlords ablutions.
I arrived on site a member of the Caravan Club and left a few days later as a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club – Oh, joy.

Normally when cleaning the toilets, if attention is required a quick "hello" through the door will attract the deafest of wardens.
It seems very easy these days to post on CT a perceived drama that appears to be a genuine unforeseen plumbing issue. Taped off service points are a common sense approach to prevent further hazards to the rest of the site, not for access to bins but to service point drains.
As this issue had no effect on your stay, why the so negative posts? Also can you enlighten me of your last paragragh regarding coming back from the pub etc? Got me there.
Is this just sour grapes re the rebranding?

I couldn't care less what the Caravan Club (as was) calls itself – it's the money, my money, spent changing the name and logo that bothers me.
There's at least one thread on the forums forcefully debating the situation and I'm not starting another but I see it as a complete waste of money for little gain.
The Warden had taped over the rubbish bin areas throughout the site to restrict access, I no idea why, but not the cassette emptying troughs.
I'd emptied my cassette and tried to turn on the tap for the hose pipe to clear away the mess when I first realised there was no water.
A sign the Warden had probably put on the tap to warn of no water had, I discovered at that point, blown away onto the grass nearby.
Why the Wardens couldn't have verbally warned us a day earlier if they had known of a possible disruption has crossed my mind.
We used the same C&MC (?) site last year for about ten weeks on and off, we had the 'builders in', and found our stays were pleasant and enjoyable so I have no axe to grind with the site.
The last line was the thought that if water was not accessibly then a visit to the Pub probably would have seemed a good idea to those who were not only thirsty but needed the loo at some point in the day.

I wonder how they managed to clean the facility block without water?

I for one can't see how this logo relates to a caravan, a "campavan"(motorhome), the outdoors or any to do with a "club". I remember the British Telecom logo costing over £1 million (Pans pipe) and was almost a plagiarised copy from a chemical company, however it least it related to communication.
Looks like the Club's been sold of the usual blarney from an over trendy PR service.
No stars for this one, E for effort, could do better.

So no water on site all day? and you left in the Morning? so are you following up with the club that you were expecting a cheaper rate for the morning that you were slightly inconvenieced?he facilities not in use for the morning race to the to few showers for about an hour etc,

It must have been, Dave.
I don't know about JK's wardening standards but the comment re sour grapes about the rebranding was a poor show from one who puts the club's point of view so often. It doesn't reflect well.

The wardens should have made sure every one knew in advance if the water being turned off was planned as some people could easily have just needed to fill up the Aquaroll just after this was turned off. It it was unplanned then there is not a lot they could have done although again they could have warned people.
The only time I came across a site with no water they were turning away new arrivals but that was near thirty years ago.
Not sure if the wardens have the authority to give discounts though.
The problems with the logo are the subject of another thread and best kept there.
