The new logo I agree will be more difficult to spot at the roadside the red and green much nicer.

while I am writing just another thought.

A member for over 30 yrs I have only stayed on club sites about 3 times,as  a pensioner a cheaper CL only membership card would suite, if I should drift into a club site,I pay the full going rate.my Mem card will show that to the warden.unfortunately  for me the membership fee is going in the wrong direction.

I agree Tourertone.  Why not have a different membership structure for those of that predominately use CLs?

Since starting caravanning five years ago we have mainly stayed on CL's and have now notched up close to fifty.  One off our favourites is Cholsey Grange CL in the Chilterns.

We blog our travels and walks at www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk and you can see all the CLs that we have visited since March 2014.

I see no reason for a different membership class. All users have access to the same infrastructure, presumably use the website to search etc. As far as I can see the only difference between CL users and CC site users is the site that they use. There is no discount for either. Might as well argue that because I spend 100 nights on CC sites that I should have a discounted membership

If the Club wants to increase usage of all sites ( CLs and White peg sites) why not scrap the membership fee altogether or make it a nominal £5?

There must be many people who would like to use the sites for the first time but don't want to invest £48 in case  they don't like it.

You could argue that many more would shop at GO Outdoors  if they scrapped the £5  - I for one never use GO fro that very reason, it's just a money making scheme which I have no wish to partake in

Before everyone jumps in with" it will allow the riff raf in", do you seriously think the current members are a cut above others. If you do no wonder the CC is trying to get rid of its stuffy image!

They have the option of going on a site for a night then and paying just £12 extra to sample If they like what they see they can join and have that refunded. Many join one of the two main clubs just for the CLs (or CSs) and breakdown cover. Which ever way you look at it it is a useful facility.

Over the years invested in 5 new caravans  and as they are well equipped a CL is fine for 2. nice though the club sites are you may paying for services you may not need adds extra cost.especially if you toured for a month or more.getting used to new logo quite posh really! Cant upload photos. My android devices dont support adobi flash it tells me.some years ago the club wouldn't entertain. An over 65 discount card as they stated most members are over 65.!
