Caravan tracker/alarms

Hi guys yesterday i went to my caravan to check my dehumidifier which had about 2inches of water in them, so knowing i had refills at home i thought i would change them today. On the way home i had a call from the tracker company to say my van alarm went off 10mins ago which is good as far as being on the ball but the alarm didnt go off i just blipped it to turn it off, today the same thing it seems i am entering my van and its telling Phantom the alarm is going off. The question is has anyone else had this problem or am i missing something, this is the way all last year i done it and didnt have this problem

Switching the alarm off should not trigger your tracker. It would go off if your battery was disconnected or the alarm sensor is faulty. The latter was the cause of a few false alarms I had last year. Sargent alarms sent me a free replacement sensor which seemed to cure the problem for a while but after a few months the false alarms recurred. I reduced the sensitivity of the alarm sensor by using the program on the alarm remote Fob and the alarm has been ok since.
I presume you have a Sargent alarm so follow their instructions for reducing sensitivity.
Remember to call Phantom beforehand if you ever have to disconnect your battery.
