The same Club, just better...
Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.
I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.
What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

Hi Bakers,
We'll be making the announcement at 10.30 at the NEC, and streaming the announcement live on Facebook. I'll then upload the video to Club Together.
Some might say you're getting a sneak preview

Whoopee, I'm so thrilled.

Yes it is not a good logo, a child of 4 could have designed something better.
I would love to know how much it will cost with all the new signage required for sites and staff.
I presume the handbook has been delayed for this launch and will show the new name and logo.
it reminds me of the fuss made when Keep Britain Tidy changed their name - a few years later it reverted to the original name!

So after 110 yrs our club? without ref to its members? has spent ,and will be spending in the future thousands of pounds of money that could be far better invested in sites to keep them open (Mildenhall now gone?)for an ego trip to change the name of an Institution that is known world wide

Hi JVB,
The change in name and logo were based on your feedback and in consultation with your representatives on the Committee. Together, we’re embarking on a journey of investment in the future of our Club.

"We want to encourage more explorers, adventurers and pioneers to join us, opening their eyes to new possibilities. We are a diverse Club and together we share a passion for the great outdoors."
Harvey Alexander, Director of Marketing
His vision, whilst laudable, is hardly compatible with a need to book months in advance.
More sites should be the number 1 aim not rebranding.
They could have also used this opportunity to add the word 'dogs'

I notice in almost every scene in the video above there is water. Perhaps this is just a step on the way to being the Motor-home and Boating Club?

Aw come on. Rebranding is enormously exciting. The last firm I worked for spent an awful lot of money on rebranding and we were all hugely excited about it and more than happy to forego pay rises to cover the costs.
I've definitely seen folk moaning about the absence of motorhome in the name so they'll be happy. Probably...
Me? I'll probably carry on calling it the caravan club in the same way that I call the other club the camping club but I'm sure I'll be alone

Hi SteveL,
We delayed the delivery of the Handbook to reflect our new brand, they're already in the post, so you should all have your books by the first week of March

Stop the decline in sites on the network would be a start,so after a couple of years of spending thousands on changing the Colour of signs on sites,we are now going to spend even more changing them all again? +now it will be even more as everything needs changing

I see that as a shocking inconvenience to members, Rochelle, especially at a time when people are struggling to search for CLs on this apology for a website.

I understood the legal terms were "trailer caravan" and "motor caravan" so using the word caravan embraced them both. Has the law changed?

Over the last few years the CC seems to have spent lots of money updating the old darker green signs at a lot of sites, to new lighter green models. Presumably that is all wasted now as they will have to be changed yet again. The only ones who seem to benifit from these rebrandings are the companies who produce these signs and headed note paper etc.

As JayEss said earlier, It will always be either the Camping Club or the Caravan Club.... Few ever say The Camping and Caravanning Club, and I suspect that few will ever say The Caravan and Motorhome Club either.
Complete waste of money in my opinion.
