Contamination in hot water

hi

just getting ready for an outing by sterilising aquaroll etc connected water to van and ran the pump, noticed when running from hot tank sandy coloured grit which blocked the filter on the sink tap.

The system is Alde heating the grit was definitely from the hot water side and after dismantling the tap filter and cleaning a number of times it appears to have cleared, my question is has anyone had a similar experience.

Is it possible that you have a point of use near the cold outlet. This would filter out the sand so you would never get to the tap filter.  A friend had a filter burst and it blocked the tap strainer on the cold side so he could get hot water but not cold.

wink , It pays to unscrew the filter from the taps and back wash the gauze washer ,on a regular basis. You'll get a better water flow .
