CL Filters - still not working
No progress so far this week - no updates from the Club.
Members searching for CL’s should be aware that the ‘Filter by..” feature is not delivering the correct results. Specifically the Hardstandings Filter has not delivered the correct results since this new website was launched, first over-reporting the number and now under-reporting the number. The Club has been informed (numerous times) about this issue, but 2 months after launch it’s still not right.
Hardstanding CL’s:
Nov 2016 = 892 (old website)
Dec/Jan = 2313 (over reported)
Feb 2016 = 312 (under reported)
If you are looking for a CL with Hardstanding, please refer to the hard-copy directory, or the Mobile App (which uses data from the old website) - Best of all check out a likely CL on their own website, Facebook page or call the owner.

Good call CG. Another thing not working correctly is the CL search by map. I tried to find a CL in Norfolk via the search by map, and no sign of it, not listed with other CLs. Went back to CL search, typed in name, there it was, came up straight away. Still a shambles, thoughts are with you all this coming season, the Handbook can't arrive quick enough!

Can't believe how hard it is to find a CL on this upgraded website. Had a 'live chat' very recently as using the map and clicking on any of the list it brings up doesn't link to any details just the lovely green road signs with stupid message as an error page. 'Live chat' most unsatisfactory seems I was on the wrong browser 😞. I had to open another tab and type in site name, really user friendly, not. Even had to point out no reviews on a site I had read a review of on CT during the last couple of weeks. Was informed some have been reinstated but club awaits someone notifying them of sites with no reviews. Totally contradicts what I've seen posted on here 🤐 and as I member how would I know it had reviews?
I really think the CL's have been treated very unfairly. Incidentally I still haven't sorted out again booking I just got fed up and angry so walked away to preserve my sanity.
I do hope that the new handbook arrives very soon and the announced improvements are nothing like those that were trumpeted for the website.

When I used live chat, it was suggested I use something other than Apple device/Safari. Very politely of course. At the moment, we cannot tour, otherwise I would be blowing a gasket regularly searching for CLs.

As regular Cl users we are also totally frustrated. Still having to use the old hand book. Will the new one be out before then end of 2017? Time the club went back to basics. and provided the necessities for members. Is the lack of help from CC one of the main reasons Cl close ( or more likely move to other organisations)?

They are too busy promoting their Facebook rubbish to be bother with the things that really matter. Do feel really sorry for all CL owners, I wouldn't be surprised if some have to close because of all the problems they are having with the web site & not getting as many booking as usual.
Doubt we'll see the new site directory this side of October, the rate it's going, and then can we be sure that it's correct? If it's up to the standard of the web site one might just as well chuck it in the waste bin, sorry recycling box!!

I'll repeat what I've said on another thread. Unless the fix is swiftly forthcoming an explanation or even an apology should be added to the CL search page. I can't imagine other large organisations behaving in such a cavalier manner by ignoring their clients and customers needs.

I reported to the CC on the 14th of December that all my reviews for my Greenacres Farm site had gone. I've chased several times since and have been promised on a couple of occasions that "they will be back by the end of next week". I'm still waiting.
On the 7th of Feb they managed to lose my hardstandings along with 600 other CLs.
Have I received an apology? You must be joking .. they won't even acknowledge there are errors!

I have today received an update from the CC with regard to the hardstanding filter not working. Apparently if you select the hardstanding filter the only CLs that will be shown will be those that only offer hardstandings ie those (like mine) that offer a choice of hardstanding or grass will not be shown, The plan is to correct this error in the next release planned for end of Feb/early March.
Regarding the missing reviews then I am told that they are still working on a solution.
They also have plans to differentiate CLs with identical names and they aim to implement this 'as soon as possible'.
For some reason I'm not exactly jumping up and down with excitement at this news!

Oh so let's limp along still - elastic dates for fixes . When is a fix not a fix??? Not sure I understand why hardstanding isn't a hardstanding whether there is grass or not🙄. I'm not prepared to reread threads but I'm sure I read they'd sorted the lack of reviews and similarly named site. What a b***s up. The lesson we can all learn from this is to check, check and check again before you jump and have the grace to admit and apologise for errors, after all we are all human. Rant over. My heart goes out to CL owners.

I see they have "locked" the FRUSTRATING blog on another section. Seems the 2017 handbook will not now becoming out until March- a further slippage. As this is a basic function of the CC will we get a rebate on our Membership Fees? Me thinks no chance the tea drinkers too busy with non essential empire building..

What the hecks happening now?? There are two posts concerning changes to the filters which are no longer showing any posts whatsoever!! Is this the new moderator's way of controlling what's allowed in posts. Come on D3an pull your finger out and get these errors sorted.!!!!!

I'm delighted to see that most of the issues that have been concerning myself and many other CL owners for the past three months have now been fixed.
The fixes to the Club website rolled out during a brief ‘outage’ at lunchtime today (28 Feb) have seemingly addressed the following issues;
- Hardstanding filter – now shows 918 CL’s rather than 315.
- CL’s with similar names are now showing much more clearly in the Search drop-down
- CL’s have a direct link button to their own website and email
Although this is a huge step forwards, we're not quite yet out of the woods. It seems like there are still a few niggles..
- Map Search has the same problem as before with CL's of the same name..
- You can't leave a review for a CL that has no reviews..

Multiple function search on the App doesn't seem to be working, and there's no pricing for the CLs.
Good to see that some progress has been made but such a pity it wasn't working properly when it was first introduced.

From what I understand the App has a number of versions which are dependent on Operating System / Device.
The App is referencing the old content management system (old website data) hence it will be increasingly out of date and HQ has disabled the pricing function.
My version of the Android app seems to be working OK, but still on the old CC branding. This has been notified to HQ.

So what's the use of the App with regards to CL's then, if there's no price, some of the data's wrong, sites that have gone are still listed and new site not included?
