How about this wonderful motorhome service waste point which the site says is Eco friendly!smile Amphibian, reptile, bird, small mammal and motorised caravaner friendly too. Ticks all the boxes and a standard design all sites should adopt don't we think?

I'd like one like that on my site micky, I must say I get fed up having to straighten out that handle on the manhole cover we have at present, that or having to help someone lift it because hasn't been replaced properly and been driven over and bent!  I believe some club sites are having a drive over grill fitted, not sure which ones.

Is that some sort of mesh between the grid frames?

Does it not get clogged with food particles etc?

How sensible. Please can we have these 😃. I cannot lift the manhole covers.

I wondered that but no, several vans have emptied over it whilst I'm here and it works well. I guess many like me ensure those 'large' bits of waste never enter my waste tanks anyway in fear of those dreaded smells and system cleaning issues they cause. I'm impressed with the stance taken and facility this site has provided!smile It's been here for several seasons I'm told and no distortion or bending!

Which site are you on? Might have to visit for emptying facilities rather than destination 😂😂😂

It looks and sounds very good. Not a Club Site I am guessing, with the posh rope?

Ian, we are very careful what goes into our onboard waste tank, as are a good few MH owners. Good practice to use a wash up bowl to catch bits and dispose of this elsewhere, rather than down sink. Not that we get much, we are plate clearers! What comes out of our waste is mainly shower water, hand wash water, and cleanish pot wash. It is easier to do this than to risk blocking a pipe or having a smelly tank. We did same in caravan as well to keep pipes clean.
