    As an Elddis owner,  things can only get better, but Hymer need to get there quality control team over to Conset for a very long time. Also shows that Hymer think we will survive after Brexit.

    Not going to make it political but our employment rights are over and above what most EU countries offer, why do you think 3m EU citizens come to work here?

    It was quite a surprise to read that.  Hot on the heels of Trigano buying Marquis and Adria last month from memory.

    I'm sure it will help Elddis with their quality which will be no bad thing for the whole of the UK built tourer industry as others really will need to raise their game.

    I wonder who else will be acquired in the UK.

    They have already got rid of 3 top people, replaced with Germans.

    It's very depressing and worrying  news.  Hymer buy major British manufacturer.  I hope they don't drag down Hymer quality.

    Just look at the "mini" they didn't make a bad job of that, plus the fact after watching the tv program the other night about what Europeans think of us lot concerning brexit all of a sudden they're thinking it aint such a bad idea getting away from Brussels, so I think the germans might just buy a few more of our companies..

    Having had dealings with Elddis through the dealer and had to have a new front panel fitted on a new van, and also have seen the way the Germans work, I must say that the more German top people at Conset the better,   but lets hope they don't have plans to move the plant to Germany in the future.

    Makes sense for EU companies to buy into UK if they have a market over here already, and vice versa. Might help avoid any punitive tariffs from either end. Anyway Hymer knows it can't lose really as the only way for Elddis is up.

    I have to applaud this. OK, so another British company bites the dust . I have to agree with Deleted User User - let's hope that we start getting some well built, dry caravans!

    I go both ways on this. I hate to see British companies go but at the same time I am not sure this one deserved to survive as it was.
