Steve Julie. After you by pass Plymouth you cross the big bridge from England into Cornwall and go through the tunnel. In half a mile at the roundabout at the top of the hill there is a little used service station on the right with a Travel Lodge. Pull in there and park. There will be room. You can walk across the road to Waitrose and get free coffee and a free newspaper if you have their card. You are within half an hour of Looe. Welcome to Cornwall.

Yes, ring the warden. Some are really helpful if they have room. Some stick strictly to the 12.00 rule. Some members get upset because you may get there before them and have a better choice of pitch.

Stevejulie, Eurotraveller has given you excellent advice. Personally, I would do as he suggests as it doesn't seem fair to my mind to arrive so early at a site.
The LNA thread has made it clear that the area is for late arrivals and it could be full when you arrive. The roads around the Looe site aren't the place to be if you're looking for somewhere to park a caravan for a few hours.
Happy to help if you need local advice.

You'll find it easily. Cross the Tamar Bridge, go through the tunnel, follow the Liskeard road to the roundabout. There are two service areas/filling stations. Take the third exit onto the Callington road and immediately enter the service area opposite Waitrose.

Hi
The wardens at Looe have been pretty flexible with arrival times when they can. As you're going in August I guess the site will be full so you could always give the warden a call for advice when the site opens on 17th March.
It gets pretty busy in the mornings on the road from the site as the site next to ours kicks out fairly early.
Eurotravellers advice is spot on as you're less than half an hour away.
Enjoy your hol' there, I worked at Looe in 2013 and it was one of my best summers with the club.

This is almost a repeat of this thread so, I'll close it as all possible advice has been given.
