First come  first served I'm afraid , it's called living in the real world I'm sure all members have at sometime not got the pitch they would have liked .

Please don't blame us OAPs for your dilemma  my friend , it's just not cricket .........Enjoy your time now , because you're going to an old camper too.👍 it happens to the best of us 😇

Well here is another motorhomer that arrives on a Sunday and goes home on a Friday, oh and we are OAP's. The only time we are on site at weekend is like others have said if we are on a tour, where would the OP like us to go when we are hundreds of miles away from home. Maybe we should all just go to the nearest site to where we live so that if it gets busy we can leave so the weekenders have a pick of pitches.

Strange isn't it that most posters on here have said that they don't do weekends other than during a tour or  a weeks stay. So the question has to be asked who are the guilty members that turn up on a Friday and leave on a Sunday and spoil it for everyone else. I would think we have all been there when we were working.

I think the OP has a issue with Motorhomes , if you look at some of his previous posts , bit of a wind up or someone else with an axe to grind with how the CC runs things .😘

We both work, and we do go away for the occasional weekend, so am guilty of turning up on a Friday afternoon and leaving on Sunday surprised in a caravan mind you, not a MH.wink

Weeks away mean we usually arrive on a Saturday,  but then to get the most out of our time away leave on a Sunday,  not that bothered about where or which pitch, we could always move if not happy.smile

I for one would welcome the OP to knock on my door if I was on his preferred  pitch.

    Not oap

    Not retired

    Often leave on a Sunday

We are motorhomers and OAPs, currently restricted to UK by medical appointments, and we've been taking week-long breaks not too far from home. We try to avoid weekends and mid-term school holidays ( not that we don't like children) to be able to find sites with vacancies. Last week we set off on Sunday for three nights at Bridgnorth followed by four at Moreton in Marsh.

Catherine now has a 'blue badge' and we were able to request a pitch near to the toilet block - we'd rather not be in that situation. The site filled up on Friday night and was destined to be full on Saturday when we left. It's a pity that the weather turned so wintry for those starting breaks from school and work.

    "Who's parking on "my" pitch?"

Just be grateful they haven't eaten your porridge and are sleeping in your bed.

But the notion of a touring club with no restrictions as to the number of nights booked appeals to many, including me. Many's the time we have spent seven or ten+ consecutive days on club sites but not necessarily on the same site.
