We use an ordinary Garmin sat nav backed up with a paper map and a large dose of common sense. In my view, there's no need for anything special.

Similar to Tinwheeler but ours is a TomTom with Camper Maps added although this seems not to be an option on many of the newer models.

We have the latest TomTom and by using the online planning tool you have the option of planning for a car or truck. Not sure how good at the truck routing it is as not used it that much yet but what we have done has been OK,  plan route on pc then send to device and when you turn the sat nav on it picks it up and downloads it, same as sending poi's etc.

We have been using a basic Tom Tom for years, never failed us yet.  I always check routes on a map as well to make sure of no nasty surprises.  Liked the look of the Avtex Caravan club sat nav but not the price at nearly three hundred quid.

I've always been in favour of the rudimentary navigational rule of "drive south until the butter melts". This can be further modified by turning into the sunrise or sunset as appropriate. Who needs precision?

If you have a tablet, have a look at the Co-Pilot Apps, they do one for caravans and Motorhomes for £49.99.
