We are thinking of buying a caravan for occasional use. 3 or 4 birth, towing weight is no problem preferably single axle with an end washroom and a good storage space.

With a budget of about £7000 in mind does anyone have any suggestions as to good and bad vans, there are so many makes and models out there it's getting confusing.

I do not consider myself to be very experienced but will make an effort to give some advice. When my wife and I were looking with a view to buying, some of the caravans of the price that you are considering smelt of damp. Obviously you may get a good van for that money and I hope that you do but be careful. You may well take a damp meter with you or somebody who has used one. Hopefully you will get some more replies from more experienced members on this forum. Best of luck and I hope that you get a decent caravan.

Where have all the other posts in this thread gone?

Ah, I see. It's duplicated in Caravans.

Hi ,Good idea to look on Caravan finder . For that kind of money I would go for an Adria ,or some such foreign . It seems most vans after some years have damp problems . Most vans suffer ,some makers give up to seven years warranty  and constuction has improved over the years , You can get caravans up to 250cm wide about 8 feet .I have an adria my second one made of Polyester .
