Mid week discount

As ET says Lady Margaret's Park is already on a par with sites that offer mid week discount. If MWD was applied this would make a pitch with two adults £13.15. Providing a pitch for that with 16 amps electric in February, with temperatures close to freezing, would I feel not be worth the CC's while. They might as well close for the winter.
Even during the last two weeks of March it is a very reasonable £17.60 inc weekends.

It is a nice site in a nice area, but the facilities are very tired. A shower is a very poor experience, the water pressure is almost non existant.
The useage mid week seems to be very poor, so a MWD might significantly increase uptake.
It is a site we use 2-4 times per year, but a MWD would make it much more attractive. We never use the site facilities as they are so poor.
Bump up the price (therefor for weekends) a little, and offer a MWD to attract more custom all week.

Totally agree re the facilities ET. As long as they are cleaned to the normal CC high standards, I don't have a problem with tired. I also don't remember the showers being that bad. If they were I would have remembered using our own, as we weren't far from a water point.
In any event if they modernised the facilities they would probably want to charge more than £15.90, particularly at weekends, for which this is a very reasonable rate.

i like KjellNN' s idea of bumping up prices during weekends when there is real demand for pitches and introducing a MWD to make the sites more cost effective and therefore obtain income from otherwise unused pitches (Sunday to Thursday nights).
The sites income would increase.. This can only be good for the CC organisation.

We hadn't been there for a few years and decided to go in early January. Ended up staying 8 nights, as we felt we had a nice pitch, it was quiet and the weather was pretty good for that time of year. Managed to go walking every day, and only got damp on 2 occasions, not bad for January!
We didn't have any issues with the showers, yes the block is somewhat dated, but always clean and warm; the water pressure was fine for us.
At £15.90 per night for the 2 of us I think that is a good price, MWD at more expensive sites would possibly work out about the same as that, or even slightly more depending on season of course.
We both really enjoyed our stay there and will certainly go back again later this year.

I would guesstimate that after allowing for consumables use in the cold winter months. It would require a 40% increase in mid week occupancy just to break even, if mid week discount was applied to current prices. This is probably unlikely in my opinion and if you further increased weekend rates to compensate, these would in affect be subsidising us retired midweekers.
