Does anyone have any information regarding this certificate. It seems to be coming into force in May sometime, stating if not displayed there is an on the spot fine of £140. The certificate can only be obtained through a French government site for about £4.

There is already a long thread on the topic in the Overseas section,  here (click for link) and it's easy enough to send off to the French website for one, should you think you will be driving into the centre of French cities.

I think there are two problems - first make sure you are using the correct link, in English, referred to in the Overseas section post, and secondly leave the registration number blank as the form is set to a standard 'French' number and doesn't allow input of a British version.  This is often the case with French websites, particularly with reference to telephone numbers.

Try again without the registration number.

As Val has pointed out there is already a discussion about this subject in the Overseas Sites and Touring section here. To avoid duplication I will close this one but please feel free to contribute to the main thread.

    Thanks
