RSPB Free Entry ( Birders Question)
I thought the caravan clubs partnership with RSPB entitled members to free entry to ALL RSPB sites. The Members offers list for 2017 does not list all RSPB sites see here
https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/membership/great-savings-guide/
Does anyone know if the offer previously was applicable to ALL RSPB sites or were some exluded??
In particular RSPB Titchwell Marsh is missing has anyone used their cc membership cards there previously for free entry??

Titchwell has free entry to everyone, there's a public footpath to the beach, right through the reserve.
However, there is a pay and display car park, which is free to RSPB members. Not sure if it's free parking for CC members, I suspect not.

I have previously used an RSPB site where both entry and carpark were charged. I paid to park. When I went inside to gain admission I showed my CC card. The chap behind the desk passed me a written notice to display in my car. When I said 'no need, I have paid' he insisted on a refund.
I decided at a later date to join anyway.

Pliers - Ah that might be why it doesnt show up as free to cc members it is free to everyone. So probably the sites that are listed on cc website as free are the ones that charge for entry and the other sites are free to everyone.
EasyT - I have been an RSPB member myself but stopped paying last year as in the last 3 years I had only managed to visit one site - lifes too busy!
I didnt mind paying the RSPB membership even though I wasn't using their sites as I think they do good work.

We mainly visit the RSPB sites whilst away in the caravan during Spring/Summer/Autumn but usually fit in a trip to RSPB Conwy about 40 miles from home. During those periods we are touring for around 15 weeks. I suspect that we typically visit 5 sites + Conwy sites and so the two of us go at least 5 times a year. I pay £45 a year as we did not know how much we would use it on our travels. So I am bit of a cheapskate really.

If you don't have an RSPB card then there is a ticket machine at the entrance to the path to reception for car parking. If you park somewhere else outside the reserve you may have a long walk along the beach or the busy road. I have left my CC card on the car dash at Titchwell before and never had a problem

Hi S2SAP and others.
I have looked at the Member offers with regard to RSPB.
You are correct in that 174 of the RSPB sites are publicly accessible.
They have 203 nature reserves in total and as a Club Member, you get free entry for two adults and two children when you visit.
Entry to many RSPB reserves does not require an entry fee so the offer is only valid where an entry fee or parking fee is charged.
