Still Open All Hours
Is there another programme more tedious and boring than this?
I doubt it........

No.
It's dreadful, and not a patch on the original series with Ronnie Barker. It's just a succession of contrived cameo 'comedy' scenes with a weak script and without any story development. More like a cross between a very tired 'Last of the Summer Wine' and 'You've Been Framed'. The brilliant (elsewhere) David Jason must be desperate for work.
BTW - why does this topic also appear in the 'Ask the expert' section?
5 mins later......It's no longer there but has now been displaced by a post 'Alphabetical boats and boat parts'.

It was the first time I viewed the prog post-Ronnie Barker. Likewise the earlier Last of the summer wine which I hadn't seen since the original series (no T.V. for about 16 years until last October - long travelling story). To be honest I have even found that repeats of some my old favourite classics, e.g. 'Porridge' and 'Morecombe and Wise' haven't travelled that well over time.
My sons presented me with a telly with access to about, I dunno, a hundred stations, but there's rarely more than maybe 3 or 4 progs a week that I feel inclined to watch. And as for the American rubbish - I simply don't want aggression, shouting, abuse, gurning panel game contestants, foul language, narcissistic presenters (if I never see a screenfull of Neil Oliver's left ear again it'll be a week too soon) and plastic so-called celebrities in my lounge..........................
In fact I feel quite a celebrity myself, having never appeared on T.V.
