Alde heating problem
We are new to Alde heating and are very impressed with it so but one little niggle is annoying us; occasionally the night time setting switches itself off and the day and time disappear from the screen. Does anyone know if this is something we can remedy ourselves or is the screen on the blink?
As an afterthought as we are in a campsite, would an interruption in the mains power supply cause this problem?

What version of the Alde do you have? On our 2014 Cadiz, with the previous, not latest, it does remember the times even if you disconnect the battery. However it does loose the the fact that the function is switched on, plus the current time, if there is a 12 volt power loss. So if the master switch is pressed off, for instance. I believe it is possible to have a small battery back up fitted to stop this, but have never bothered. 240 volt blips have no affect, other than resulting in the heating going off, if on EHU.

I think it may be to do with the clock settings (it certainly was when we had this happening).
You may find this helpful;
First set the clock weekday to correspond with the actual day of the week, with 1 = Monday to 7 = Sunday.
Then when programing the Night Time/Temp you have the option of a different time/temp for each day of the week ie: days 1 -7.
Alternatively, at this point if you require the same time/temp for every day of the week you program this to 0 (zero).

We have the 3020 system and as far as I can make out it should retain its settings even if there is a blip in the power supply. As for the timer settings I think they must vary from model to model as we have no 0 setting on ours.
I have now set the time on the Micro Wave so at least I can see if the mains power drops out now but other than that I think I will do as EasyT suggests and contact Alde when we return to the UK next month.
Thanks for the help all.

Greygit,
Is your Control Panel Digital or Touch Screen?
If Digital try http://www.alde.co.uk/faq.php#faq1-1
If touch Screen try www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl8xNCs7xww
Night Mode (requires Clock to be set)
Allows you to programe the boiler to automatically change and select settings at night.
Set a start and stop time for the night-time period.
Set a day of the week, or “All” for the same daily programe.
Also try http://www.alde.co.uk/manuals.php
Are the Alde operating instruction not in the Caravan Hand book?
Hope this is helpful.

Ours is the touch screen one and regrettably I had done all of the settings for the night time set up but still had the problem.
Saying that it was fine last night and early this morning but just out of the blue it will switch off the night time settings and the time and date will disappear.
As I was about to post this we had an interruption in the mains supply but it’s now back on and it doesn’t seem to have affected the screen settings at all ,so that is one reason I can discount.

It does seem as if you have an intermittent fault.. intermittent fault.. intermittent fault.. intermittent fault.. and these as we all know are the most difficult to resolve.. difficult to resolve.. difficult to resolve.. difficult to resolve..
