Ok, so who knows all about air awnings???

At the moment, we have a Dorema Magnum All Season 260. Its a brilliant!, easy to put up, easy to pack up.............

Anyhoo, Jules has informed me, that its blue and grey colour scheme doesn`t go with the colours on the new van (yell).

So we have been looking at alternatives, and to be honest I was quite shocked, Compared with the dorema, Vango and Kampa are no where near as "robust", they feel really thin, now I`m not saying that Dorema a better, or The other makes are not as good, I have no experience with the other two, just my observation.

So until someone convinces me that they are as good or better than my Dorema, Sorry Jules your gonna have to suffer a clash of colours!!

What are peoples thoughts/experience??

(I suppose point one being the weight)

Regards

Dave

Stick with the one you are happy with. They are a lottery. We had an Outdoor Revolution and it was dreadful. Kept collapsing and was dangerous. Took many months to get our money back from the awful people at Glossop Caravans.

Agree if it fits and works don't change it. You mainly live inside the van and awning so you won't notice the colour scheme outside but you will notice any drips and it falling down!

At the risk of sounding sexist the colour of the awning matching is  a female thing. When we were buying our last awning mrs C said it matched our van colours, I said 'what - white?'

Personally I wouldn't be see anywhere near a blue and grey awning.

I think that you should buy a new one and send your present one to me for disposal.

We have a Kampa Rally Pro 260. It's much better than the 'normal' Kampa awning.  The Pro seems to be much better made and stronger canvas.  Don't know about the weight of it but it's a bit lighter than our Isabella porch.  It, hopefully, shouldn't clash with your new van as it's black and grey!!  We have found it a good awning and easy to erect etc,

its blue and grey colour scheme doesn`t go with the colours on the new van

The manufacturers do this color change so people will be forced to buy new stuff to make it match to something else.  It is just a confidence trick.  Have a look around your 'van and accessories and think how much is blue and grey.  You will have to change all of them as well.

P.S.  What colour IS the new 'van?  Red?

Let me just clarify that I don't a hoot about the colour, but this Jules' van as well and she is a proper girly girl that insists on co ordinated colours.

Having said that I have said that my new car will be white!!!

The new van is, well, white . . . Grey, charcoal with a touch of lime green.

Que rolling of eyes from all the blokes.

We didn't have all this trouble when cameras took black and white photos.
