Seasonal Pitches?
We're not new to caravanning, we have owned caravans for about 12 years now. Over the last few years, due to health, work & storage issues we have been using the caravan a lot less, maybe just a couple of weekends in a year.
Storage issues with a house move a few years ago meant we had to stop keeping our caravan at home & it is now barn stored a few miles away from home, but sadly the planning, even for a weekend away seems to take the fun out of the trip.
So my wife & I are considering a seasonal pitch, maybe Cumbria or northern wales area.
In terms of costs, what are we likely to encounter? Also are there any drawbacks to a seasonal pitch set up, insurance etc?
Does the Club have sites with seasonal pitches?
Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Failing that why not just find some sites you like in your chosen areas and see if they offer seasonal pitches. Their web sites may give you an indication of costs. Or just Google seasonal caravan pitches and your chosen areas.

CC does have seasonal pitches and some sites with storage facilities but you may well be too late to grab any this year.

Used the club ones a fair bit. The only advice I would give is consider the travelling time, don't get one too far away, under two hours max perhaps otherwise you'll be put off going. You maybe should check with your insurance but ours didn't want to know. Its probably safer on a club site than alone in storage. The costs are given in the link given by TW above.
Its a good deal, if you use them a lot. You can arrive when you want, stay late before leaving for home as you want. The caravan is set up with steadies down. Some seasonals have service pitches, and you may still have to connect up the services and EHU on some sites. Club sites you have to take down the awning, maybe its different on non club sites. the max stay for people (not your outfit) on club sites is 21 days with a two day gap before returning.

Never had a seasonal pitch as such. However some 17 years ago, a few years after my wife's death, I used a site near Garstang. Having been there one summer with my youngest daughter for a week I returned for a couple of long weekends as there was three fishing ponds and the river Wyre on the site and also good canal fishing nearby as well as other venues and Garstang was a pleasant village. The next year after a couple of visits the owner offered to store my 'van free of charge and I used to use the site for a couple of long weekends every month for six months of the year for a couple of years. It was great for me as I had at least 60 days leave a year and would leave work mid day on a Thursday and return straight to the office on a Monday morning. It was under 70 miles and under 90 minutes drive.

The clubs seasonal pitches are mostly in the less popular sites and the idea looks to be a bit extra income for them and there are rules regarding moving them off site from time to time so check the rules and if there is availability before going further. Commercial sites allow them in many cases but again check the conditions and prices.
An alternative that might work for you is one where the site stores the caravan for you and pitches the caravan for you when you want to use it. If you are looking at this option the C&CC do have this on some sites. Not sure how it works with insurance though so I would make sure the site will comply with your security requirements.
