Mk2 Honda CRV Is it a satisfactory towing vehicle.

I'd first recommend the CC outfit matching app on the Advice & Training tab above. Generally automatics are excellent for towing as you are always in the right gear. The only issues may be if your weight ratio is a little too close for comfort and you're towing on steep hills on hot days. I'm not sure if the CRV has one but most autos have an oil-cooler fitted anyway so you should be fine.

I have a Mk2 CRV petrol and I tow a 1500kgs MTPLM single axle so it's a little on the limit for the capacity for the vehicle.
It pulls fine but the power is top end so it's a bit more tiring that a torquey diesel. If you've got a diesel then it's less of a problem.
The only thing that i'd check is that on earlier Mk2's (like mine), the tow bar limit is 60kg which is pretty pathetic and almost useless. There were some suspension updates with the facelift models from 2005 onwards which upgraded this to 100kg so it'll be well worth checking what category any prospective CRV falls into.
