Anyone know when the English school summer holidays are? So that I can avoid travelling on the motorways at that time!¿?

    Hi

Majority of English schools finish around the 21st July and return about the 4th September. Hope this helps with your planning.

I always go to my local school website to look at the holidays - but if going north of the border it's worth remember theirs are different.

Thanks for your input hopefully I can avoid getting stuck in the mass exodus onto the A1m that doubled the journey time!

There are still major road works on A1M, around Scotch Corner, should be finished for this Summer though, been doing work for around two years I think.
