Another trip to B&Q this morning. I had decided on Wickes own brand electric tile cutter but thought I'd have a look here before deciding.
Ended up buying a MacAlister one (for a lot more money than planned) as it had a bigger cutting disc, bigger table and just looked better made. As we are planning on tiling the conservatory floor at some point, I thought it would be a good investment.
Got home and tried it out.......it works a treat!
Got about a third of the kitchen floor tiled and it looks pretty good!
Finally stopped as exhaustion set in........but managed to apply penetrative sealer to another two boxes of tiles before I finished.
Man! Does my back ache!
We're planning to go away in the caravan on Friday, so two more days of tiling and two days of CAB before we go.
I think it was easier when I was working!
Looking forward to the break though

Regarding bird food......I buy those blocks of suet with mealworm mixed in. We use one to fill a half coconut husk fastened on the bird table (takes a third of a block) then put the rest in a peanut feeder.
It has proven to be a popular alternative on the bird table. Very popular with a local family of starlings.
One branch of Poundland sells them for '2 for a £1' locally.

Thanks Bakers, here's hoping.
IanH, sounds like you've had a very productive day, I'm sure its looking good and will be worth all the hard work.
Wonder what is going on with the fatballs? My birds used to go through loads but not now, they still eat the square ones with the mealworms in or berries and the seeds.

Went out for a short drive, then to see my "tame" motor
mech ( Campers back in on Thursday to try to get the
Diesel Bits Filter sorted ), then a visit to Wilko's & got a
bucket of 50 fat balls for £3:50 ! Not grumbling at that,
I can get my money's worth just by throwing the old uneaten
version at the KiddyWinkies on their way home from school !

Very cold here too, some sun earlier but dull now.
Car is in having towbar fitted, should be ready by 5pm.
Hope they get all the wiring correct, will test it out tomorrow by hooking up to caravan. Van due for service on the 6th, so all has to be working by then. Still have the mirrors to sort out.

We're far enough from home to have missed out on all the freezing fog thank goodness. But we did have a very sharp frost, luckily followed by a glorious sunny but cold day with not a cloud to be seen. So we decided to do one of our favourite walks from Padstow, across on the little ferry to Rock, left along the beach to Dahmer Bay. The tide was just too high to get all the way round so we diverted up to the top of the steep hill which overlooks the bay ( not sure if it's got an official name?) Stopped on the bench at the top for coffee and superb views in all directions. Then down to the bay and back to Rock via the golf course, diverting up to the little church, St Enedocs, to pay respect to John Betjeman whose grave is just inside the churchyard. Back to Padstow on the ferry and a late pasty lunch in warm sunshine. Magic!

First day volunteering at the Cathedral tomorrow. Morning in the Visitor Centre and the afternoon doing some 'on the job' training as a Volunteer Welcomer in the Cathedral (with my thermals on!). I am feeling rather nervous. Wish me luck.

Milliehull I wondered when you'd start. Good luck for tomorrow but I'm sure you won't need it as you'll be fine 😃.
Tried so hard to post earlier and quote but wouldn't let me and I got strange messages about no data details received 🙄

Nice day to be out and about which we were this morning.
Afternoon taken up at the dentist. Bottom back molar had to come out. Unfortunately the root system split and the dentist had to cut into the gum to extract it, so a half hour appointment overran somewhat.
Just off for a gargle.
Edit :- Just read instruction leaflet. No gargling for 12 hours! Memo to self "Read full instruction Leaflet"
