I just heard somebody say that Graham Taylor, former England Football Team Manager has died.

    Always seemed a nice man but unfortunately will always be remembered for the photo on  the front page of the Sun newspaper.

    Sad news -  a very nice guy who did a brilliant job getting Watford from the 4th division to the old 1st division and the Cup Final. Will probably be more remembered for his unsuccessful time as England manager unfortunately(and he's in good company there!)

    Such sad news.

    Watched a clip of him and Elton John in their Watford days on the News this morning. I'd forgotten just how charismatic he was.

    How  good  it  has  been  to  hear  the  various  people  talking  about him  and  finding  the  same  words  occurring    --  Honest  -  decent  --  pleasant  to  know  as  well !!

    ....also a former manager of Wolves, although wasn't sucessful with them.  Jack Hayward admitted that had they have stuck with Graham Taylor he would have led them back to the Premiership.  R.I.P.  Graham Taylor.

    I met him at a policing / football conference many years ago.  What a nice, unassuming and true gentleman he was.  So sorry to see him go.
