Right Angled CEE connector
Hi all, I have a 2016 Bailey Pagent Genoa, great caravan, but the electical hook up cable sticks out from the caravan when on site.
I need a "right angled" version so that it take the cable down intead of sticking out from the side.
I know they are made, as I've seen them when touring in France and Italy.
Does anyone know where I can get one in the UK?
Ebay have some, but they are from Germany and I can't see the mating connection to confirm it's a female.

My guess it will be the same base on the fact that I have a German caravan using a standard UK hook up. In any case if you buy on line you have the right to return for a refund as you were not able to inspect the goods before purchase. You could always contact
the merchant in advance to ask the question. Hope this helps as I know it's not the wxact answer you were seeking.0 -

...We have a 2016 Pegasus Genoa (not pageant?) and do not see that the EHU hookup is sticking out? A more of a problem unless you are one of a few is that there seems to be a problem with the Dometic 9330 tall fridges as fitted in that they tend to have a problem with them gettig to cold,we have Dometic coming to us and two more vans tomorrow to sort us all out (hopefully)

On my, much older, Bailey the power connectors both male and female are totally inside the battery box and only the cable comes out - and then in a downward manner. I wonder what and why this change?

Our Unicorn 2 circa 2014 also has it in the battery box as you describe. The change could be because I think they moved the battery to a central position, so there is no box to put it in. Perhaps they think it could become accidentally detached more easily, if it is downward facing.

I too have seen the right-angled connector in France and have made several enquiries in the UK at wholesalers and manufacturers in an attempt to purchase such a connector.
I only found on wholesale who could possibly supply ony - at a cost of £25.
I might try and buy a couple next time I am in France.

If we assume that a conventional plug would cost about £8 than you will be paying a premium of £17 for the 90deg version. If you put a price on your time, and value an elegant solution, I'd be tempted to just pay the money and use your time in France for

I can't help with a UK source; I got mine and one for a friend at a French Marina shop. It features also a Schuko socket, so I suspect this makes it more a continental product than one readily available over here.
Very much neater solution for my Hymer that has a waist high awning side EHU port.

I think there's a strong case of possible electrocution with that plug, I think he needs a socket.

I have one which I bought many years ago in France. Needed it for the previous motorhome but it is not usable on the present one. However, the boat was changed last year and it was essential on that as a normal connector meant the cable stuck slightly across the door.
