What are you all up to

I went shopping at Tesco Extra in the morning yesterday and then had a quiet afternoon. It was cloudy, grey and dark nearly all day yesterday. The days are supposed to be getting lighter now that we are well past the winter solstice but I've not noticed much change yet. The daylight hours still seem very short, especially on a dull day like yesterday.

Not sure who my jumper will be for, just decided that something smaller to start with was a good idea.😄

Another grey day today, dog walking is now getting muddy.
Must get out and do a bit of shopping, went for a long walk yesterday and couldn't be bothered when we got back.😄
Waiting to hear if our son is going to except the job he was offered on Friday, think he will, more money and it's in Manchester where his girlfriend lives and works. Bit further for us to travel to visit, but at least we can take the van and stay over somewhere nearby.
Ian, glad you are feeling better, the colds and coughs doing the rounds seem to last ages. OH is only just feeling better after 3 weeks!!

Horrible grey, damp morning here today. Just back with the dogs, very damp and bedraggled (all of us!). Hoping we get back to the bright very cold weather of a few days ago soon. Off to do Dad's shopping later and then out for lunch.
Harry has to go to the vets for an op tomorrow - suddenly spotted a very nasty swelling on one of his feet, think he may have a thorn or something embedded in there. Trouble is, he's so uncooperative they're going to have to sedate him to see what's going on! Hopefully nothing too major.

A bit like you I'm using up some odds and ends of baby wool. Fancied something to do but no real incentive so will finish and offer to local charity shop unless I have any other call for it. It defo won't be daughter in NZ 😉 her hubby got himself sorted while we were out there. Oh too much info 😂.

Hope all goes well at the vets with Harry, and it turns out to be nothing serious. Give him an extra treat from us, Moulesy.

Hadn't thought of donating what I knit to charity shop, mind you as it's the first thing I've knitted for years they probably won't want it when they see it.

Keep at it both of you, I was like that awhile ago but got back into it again. I'm just using up wool at the mo knitting teddy bears for a charity shop, I got the patterns off a calendar I had, each month has a different one, some girl bears and some boy bears. If nothing else I'm having a laugh doing them. The OH things I'm daft and in my second childhood but the Gkids loved them when they paid a visit after Christmas. Hopefully the enthusiasm will remain and I will get round to finishing the Arran cardigan that's been residing on the top shelf of my wardrobe for years
Not a bad day here today after all the horrible fog yesterday, its still very mild. Its our 45th wedding anniversary today but we are not doing anything special other than having my Mum for the day. We have both been struggling to get over these rotten colds that have been going around, so don't feel like going out for a meal just now as nothing tastes right yet.Think we will wait until we get the van back then we will go out when we are away.

Busy couple of days, sons partners car gave up completly on A10 friday so off to rescue her (no breakdown cover) then spent all day yesterday doing rounds of car showrooms, now set up (at a price) via bank of us,so now catching up on here,Sun out,
Site we are going to over easter was "full" Broadway but as i have said before a call to the site direct, normally gets a result,
The motor mover that is being fitted is manual apply,as when talking to site warden,he advised that he had lost count of times he had had to assist in storage (500 vans)when electric apply movers had got "stuck"when batteries did not have enough power to move c/van and mover was stuck against wheels

We're not doing anything remotely interesting today - so, instead of a cute picture of a calf to brighten another murky day - here's a video of a normal calving last month. Just by chance my son looked over the pen gate at the right time.
P.S. No animals were harmed in the making of this film

Spent part of the day looking at the paintings of Peter Brown, known locally as Pete the Street, as he is often seen painting street scenes of Bath. There is an exhibition of his recent paintings on at the Victoria Art Museum and Gallery and Mrs WN (whose birthday it is today and therefore gets to choose the itinerary for the day) wanted to see it.
Must admit I really like his style. Prices are another thing altogether but the man has talent. On until the end of the month if anyone interested.
Rest of day spent finding one of the spots where he did a painting from so she could do a quick sketch herself.

No problem Wherenext- all part of having a daft log in but I can't work out how to change it!
We had a lovely walk with the other Westies this afternoon after a major garage clear out.
Hope everyone else has had a good day. Back to work tomorrow.😢

We have had a wonderful time with youngest son, DIL and 2 grandchildren in Strangford in N.Ireland. It started with watching our son singing and playing his double bass with his folk group in the local pub, finished with a lovely walk by the lough this afternoon with a trip to the planetarium in Armagh in between. It has been so lovely to see them all.
Hope Harry gets on OK at the vets moulesy.

Glad you had a lovely time milliehull 😃.
Happy wedding anniversary Tammygirl. It was our 37th last Thursday. Where do the years go? We celebrated with an M&S dinner as we couldn't be bothered to turn out in the cold for dinner. We have sons dog, shes with us whilst they are in NZ exploring and visiting his sister, and had a fabulous walk in glorious bright cold sunshine.
Lovely sunday lunch with friends followed by country walk, mucky, with the dogs. Great to catch up.
Sun came out here and not been cold but forecast says all change brrrr.

Happy anniversary tammy and bakers.
Best of luck with the knitting Helen. The baby ward in your local hospital might be glad of the finished product.
