Off to sunny Yorkshire next week to Brigholme Farm, Giggleswick, Settle. Any of you good folk been? Any suggested good walks to recommend. Anywhere to visit if heaven forbid it rains!!!!!!

Your advice as usual would be most welcome.

Beware of the flatulent cows in the adjacent field!!

Super site - half mile from Settle centre. We have been twice.

Good walks to Attermire Scar & Victoria's Cave & Scaleber Force from Settle centre.

    Have fun

Thanks for that Pilgrimphil. Will Google your suggestions.  Would the walk to Settle be OK in the evening? With a torch of course.

Got our full waterproofs and our Christmas thermals so should be sorted.  We will enjoy. Thankyou.

Just googled your suggested walk. Looks good. About 10 miles from Brigholme Farm so should be no problem before it gets dark. Thank you for that.

An evening walk into Settle from the site would be fine. From memory it is on pavement all the way.

Regarding walks, we also took the train from Settle to Horton in Ribblesdale [8 minutes!] & climbed Pen-y-Ghent - part of the Pennine Way - 6 miles from Horton. The café in the village does pint mugs of hot chocolate!

Whereabouts are you in Norfolk? We are just outside King's Lynn

Thank you for that. The train sounds good fun. Worth looking into.

We live on the Norfolk / Suffolk border near Beccles. Always a long way to get anywhere from here. Nice though.
