I have just booked for a week at this site end of June.  We have never been to this site or this part of Cornwall before.  Do you all have any suggestions of must does or recommendations when we are there.  Thanks 🌴☀️

    I think most local attractions are covered already in the on line site description and in the reviews from previous visitors. But if there anything more specialised that you want to know then  I might be able to help.

    The church at St Just-in-Roseland is a must do.

    Be aware that the nearest supermarkets are in St Austell or Truro.

    Hi

    A nice day out without the car. Walk out of site to the main road, turn right and about 100 meters on nearside you'll see a layby where the bus stops. Take the bus into St.Mawes, then get on the ferry to Falmouth. Buses and ferries will be running regularly in June.

    There is a card you can buy which gives travel by bus, ferry and train around the Fal river area.  Look online at www.falriver.co.uk. The bus is every two hours ( or was in 2013).  Great way to discover the area.  Merrose Farm also has an enclosed dog walking field.

    Some of my favourites are the King Harry ferry over to NT Trelissick, there are some lovely walks on the estate or you can enjoy the gardens, gallery and tea rooms. Portscatho is nice, it has a good safe beach and only a few minutes from Merrose, you can also walk there via the coastal path.

    St Anthonys head and lighthouse, with views over to Falmouth and out to sea, lots of walks, long and short around there.

    St Mawes is attractive, Lamorran House gardens are sub tropical and worth a stroll around. Also the castle overlooking Falmouth and boat trips up and down the Fal, the Carrick Roads and even up Frenchman's Creek in good weather. 

    Hope you enjoy your visit, the Roseland has lots to offer.
