Why two booking references?
I've just made a booking on a CC site for 5 days in the first week of January. I've noticed that the CC have sent me two different booking reference emails for the one stay, effectively dividing it into two seperate stays.
The booking includes the 4th of January, where the divide is. Am I right in thinking that this is because dates after 4th January were released at a later date? I'm assuming the wardens are wise to this and we won't be needing to move pitches halfway through our holiday (pitches are often allocated at this site).

Not certain about that one but, if the site is open, I'd give them a call just to make sure the site staff are aware it's one booking.

yes, thats exactly right...
if you had tried to book that whole week months ago, only upto the 3rd would have been available....to get the rest of the week, the cc tell you to come back later when the rest of the dates are released...imactually had to make two separate bookings many weeks apart to book the whole week after NY.....how bizarre is that?
i was caught out like this, and suggested that the club move their date 'split' to something further away from the middle of the new year week, say out to 15th jan or similar...
club response...we always do it on the 3rd/4th.......anyway, most folk go back to work on the 3rd.......unbelivable......whatever......

Thanks Jill. I'm going to call them later (giving them time to batten down the hatches for Barbara). I thought I'd check on here in the meantime in case I had the 'change over' date wrong.

Glad it's not just me then BB. I'll check with the site later to make sure they know it's the same booking, although I suspect they're pretty used to it if it happens every year.
Our kids don't go back to school till the 9th! Suits me as they've been in school all this week, while my poor sister has been trying to keep her two amused all week as they finished last Friday and go back to school on the 3rd!
