Discovery Sport Tow ball height

Just taken delivery of a Discovery Sport factory fitted with the electric deployable tow bar. The height to the centre of the tow ball is 460mm (475 mm to top of ball) with the vehicle unloaded but with full tank of fuel.  The suspension is firm and unlikely to drop as much as a car. The hitch looks high compared to the outgoing Discovery 4. I would be interested to hear from any other D. Sport owners, especially with the same deployable tow bar as to how they find the level of their hitched caravan when  in a normally loaded running set up. It will be a couple of months before I can do a tow test myself.

Tirril, pleased you have got the DS. I cannot answer the question directly but it may be worth posing the question on the Discovery Sport  forum I found the responses to be quick and detailed:

As to the issue with the B Pillar rattle, it appears that they may have solved it. I'm testing driving a DS in the new year. Hope you enjoy it.

dwlgll20 following the reports of pillar rattle I pressed the sales person at my local dealer who has sold me my last 3 LRs and I have found him very reliable, he said that new models were unaffected and so far I certainly have not heard it.

Thanks for the forum link and good luck with the test drive.
