A little bird, was singing quite loudly, but has anyone else heard that the format is going to change?

    Hi peedee,

Your little bird was correct; we are making a few changes to the magazine. New look and feel, plus some extra features… look out for more info in the January edition!

I did notice their was no request for feedback on any cars or caravans. That is the only serious evidence from longer term users and if that is going it will seriously devalue the magazine.

Will there be content worth reading?

"New look and feel" - It's going to be produced in braille?

Will there be content worth reading?

I hope so otherwise why make changes? Perhaps it is more to do with fitting in with technology than content?

So the new mag is out.  Some nice articles but why the 'pixilated' headlines?  Is it my old eyes or is a slightly smaller print being used?  And finally, why print the excellent article on the Trough of Bowland (the area where I was bought up) with a red background?  This makes reading it a little difficult.  Overall, IMHO an ok improvement.

So it IS Braille after all!

What is the worst thing you can read in Braille?

    "Do not touch"

[Quoted in the context of Christmas Cracker Jokes with no offence to those who do read Braille intended.  Other jokes are available.]

Got mine this morning and had a quick scan. In general it looks better but the comparison on cars and caravans using members replies has gone and I thought this was one of the better ideas in the old one. I would like that back.

A bit like the forum then cyberyacht?

Except the unreadable type on the forum hasn't got the braille fix yet!

Ours arrived today, so I've only had chance to have a quick look through it. Not too sure about the front cover, but really like the look of the rest of the magazine. Will have a proper read tonight, with a glass of wine!

Ours arrived today. I like most of the new content but like the new website I am finding some of the print colours hard to read.

I think it took (even) less time to scan through and dismiss it....totally nonplussed.....not one article worth reading.

where are the hard hitting, in depth caravan/motothome reviews that really give customers (and more to the point, manufacturers) something to chew on...

typical caravan review.....the cushions were 'nice' (flowery)

typical MH review....the cushions werent very nice (generally plain)

    rivetting stuff.

    Arrived this morning.

The font and colour schemes are not the easiest to read, particularly on a grey day like here currently. The purple, lilac and orange backgrounds make it hard work on my eyes. Layout appears better with column spacing and adverts separate from articles. The matt paper is an improvement.

The increased number of CL's featured are an improvement, but the lack of previous basic info like EHU, HS, is missing meaning a further search online or in the much awaited new handbook, assuming the references are for the new handbook, not the current due to expire one. Consistency of info would benefit members and CL owners. i.e. Open from to, EHU yes/no, HS yes/no, Post code, Handbook page ref.

Reviews of the pop top small vans refer to lack of headroom for tall people. No kidding!! Is that why they have pop tops?? Judges wowed by USB sockets, seriously?

It didn't go straight in the bin after a cursory glance as the previous version tongue-out

Await the digital version to see how that works as that is my more read version.

A better revision than the debacle of the website, can the magazine team show the web team how to make changes? tongue-out

Apart from the fact that it was thinner than usual I had not noticed any changes.

Agree with KeefySher, the font and colour schemes are difficult to read especially the lilac, whoever thought that was a good font colour especially with the font size.  Need a magnifying glass.  Or is this a move to get us all to go online to read it.  What with this and the changes to the site search facility, I'm losing the will etc.......

Just been looking at the list of completed works, on page11. No mention of the installation of service pitches at white water or freshwater east. Given how popular these pitches are you would think it worth a mention.

It seemed to me that there was a bit more room to write the answers in. I agree that it was a refreshing change to have all the clues🤓

Personally I didn't find the font or the new colors too bad. The letters page was even worse than usual  INMHO. Only two letters and a long diatribe from the club, important though the message was did it really need all that space?
